VirTra - Real-Life incident meets Simulation Training

On May 4, 2024, Houston Officers received calls of a suspect firing a handgun outside his residence. When officers arrived on the scene and tried to talk to the suspect - a 32-year Male- retreated into his house with his weapon. The resulting gunfight transpired almost identical to one of the judgmental use-of-force branches in VirTra's Biker Billy scenario.
Historically, VirTra builds training scenarios based on actual events, case law, and real-life situations, and this is an example of just that. Having officers train by going through numerous real-life situations allows them to become more aware, trained, and confident should they encounter those events on the job.
