I grew up with things like mortal kombat, which I never liked, and the mvc games which were masterpieces. And the old street fighter games. When I found out that things like these were real, like games like these. I was amazed. The health bar goes down a little fast but it doesn’t bother me much. (To clarify I was born in 2006) but I have parents that love the classics and gave me these retro type games. Moral of this pointless story about me, I LOVE this game.

My personal theory about the quick health depletion is to keep the quarters pumping into the arcade machines. I'm 37 and grew up in arcades. For a long while in the early to mid 90s, fighting games always had huge crowds. Obviously Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat had the biggest crowds of them all, but I remember a healthy following for Virtua Fighter 2 as well. I genuinely wish I had a way to get those experiences on video.

I was 10 back in 1994 when this game came out in arcades. This is THEE game that mad me fall in love with 3-D games. I was astonished at how fluid, and astonishing these graphics were.

Just bought it on xbox live... oh boy! game is hard even on the easiest setting... I can't get past Kage Maru in Arcade mode.
