@@meryemedaghija8842 I applied for Heineken Local Trainee. The assessment center took 1 full day. They formed me in a group of 5 and let us solve business case study and give a 10 minutes presentation at the end. The purpose of case study just want to see our abilities of solving problems, work in the team (pls make sure u avoid team conflict) and our time management. During the business case there’s always an unexpected interruption of new problem so they want to see whether we’re flexible or not. And yes just like she said in the video, the result of your case study is not important as much as how you can work in a team. Be a team player and take the initiative to speak but not interrupt your teammate when they are speaking.

Thank you for the video. Recently passed an assessment centre and got a job. Some of the advices are really good, such as to not focus too much on the group task itself. The final advice, however, "send a thank you email after the assessment centre" is debatable - not everywhere it is a good thing and will be viewed positively. Instead, imho, it is just better to thank people you talked with before you exit the call.

I did mine for a graduate role, but I think the same applies to different types of roles too.

Hi I've got one with Network Rail next week for a graduate placement, and they require me to make a 10 mins presentation. Are there any tips on that, too?

One thing: during the presentation, do you need to make PowerPoint and share your screen? If so, do you get enough time?
@CharlotteMGray3 жыл бұрын
Yes we had to make a presentation. I'd recommend doing it on Google Slides so everyone on your team can work on it at the same time. And yes time is an issue, I'd recommend instead of planning first and then doing the presentation try and do both at the same time as otherwise you'll quickly run out of time (which happened to us and we had to rush at the end). Hope that helps!

@@CharlotteMGray Thank you so much for the reply ❤️ One more thing, while pitching as a group which part do you think is the best to present like intro, body or conclusion.
@CharlotteMGray3 жыл бұрын
@@prothomachowdhury6721 I don't think it really matters. The actual presentation doesn't matter as much as how you worked as a team to put the presentation together. I'd say the only thing that matters in relation to the presentation itself are your presentation skills rather than what you're actually saying.

@@CharlotteMGray Do you think we have to ask the organiser beforehand if we can use our own resources like google slides? By the way, usually, can we do google search for additional info during group exercise?

is the group task technical?
@CharlotteMGray3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the grad role you’re going for. But all the ones I’ve had haven’t been majorly technical. The people assessing you tend to focus more on how you work as a team than the outcome of the task anyway so I wouldn’t worry too much about the technicality of it. Hope that helps!
