Wow. I just worked through this entire video and it actually feels like I got some REAL training done. That feeling in your brain and body when you know something just clicked and you're absorbing better skills. As someone who can't necessarily fund all of his hobbies and is forced to pick and choose, this is absolutely AMAZING. You're awesome!

Laughed when I first watched this, now I have the confidence and timing to slip and counter during sparring after 7 weeks of practising from this video. Unbelievable, as for years all I did was block holding two hands up. Plus, my nose does not get hit as much.

This video is amazing Jason, it be amazing if you made another video like this one for people who already know the defense and counters, that way you could just go through various different combinations one after another with no explanations inbetween allowing us to do a relatively fast paced defense workout, because with this video i've to take my gloves off and skip to the punching part after every round.

this is gold. there are benefits to being by yourself and completely comfortable. more confidence equals a loose body and quicker reflexes, this is great. when i first tried this i was really tense and my body was rigid, then i said to myself, "who gives a fuck if i get 'hit' and im by myself" after that i dodged and blocked every shot. j/k some of his faints got me. lol.

Block is the simple...and simple is the best...after block you might start quicklu with your counter😉
@АнгелВасилев-ф3ф7 жыл бұрын
Blocking a hard hit sometimes leaves u vulnerable for another shot , so sometimes its not the best option to counter hit immediately , cus u might take a heavy combo wich breaks ur rhythm. Im not telling you are wrong , im just saying that everything in boxing is based on the situation you are in.
@sasatrivic18147 жыл бұрын
Ангел Василев man in cruiserweight you might do just blocks not ducking ....if you try you must be two times faster than your oponrnt😉
@NuggetandLevi7 жыл бұрын
Ангел Василев guarding is slower than a simultaneous counter, and can block your vision. It's not a wrong answer, but it's not always best.

Great videos, you are the best. Would love to train with you such passion and knowledge. I have studied wong shun Leung wing chun for about 12 years and I know it gets a lot of rap out there, but the main difference is that he had trained boxing before learning wing chun.There are so many similarities with boxing. Originally wing chun had no lateral movement but he introduced it among in my understanding boxing techniques and I truly believe that this will be a successful style in the future. Thank you for your hard work!
