Great video , its a wonder to see the tower's interior as it is today . Year's ago it was open but it was so dark and creepy one did 'nt venture too far in . The staircase going down was a no no .

British Channel. Hitler's ego was also at stake here because that was the only British territory Germany was able to capture.

Why was Jersey so important?

Propaganda - the Channel Islands were the only British territory captured by Germany. German civilians and military personnel would be encouraged by that success. Also, the guns on the islands would deter any allied idea of landing in France on the beaches on the west side of the Cotentin peninsula.
