Virtual DJ 8: Slicer

Use the slicer in Virtual DJ 8, with the skin or an external controller.

Slicer is now part of the pad system in VDJ which makes it a bit easier to deal with, plus you don't need an FX slot used up.

Hi @EchoPapa in November you were working on a mapping for the orbit as a supplement controller.. when I bought mine I was hoping to use it as the ddj sx2 or numark ns7ii pads (hot cues, loops, slicer, sampler) did you ever finish it or have you done a video or could you do one please?

Hi Echo Papa why did virtual DJ change the behaviour of the crossafader? When you want to auto_crosfade fade the fader moves to one direction as soon as you you want to stop the crossafader it goes back again. You have to move the auto crossafader beyond the half way for point otherwise it returns back to its original position. Please explain why and what can be done to change it?

Did you say you can use the orbit to supplement your dj controller (I have the VMS4.1) and would like to use the orbit as a way to have more hot cues, slicer, sampler, loops.. would that work?

Yes, you can map the orbit to anything you would a regular controller.

It has a default mapping in built into VDJ. At some point I've been hoping to make my own, but because I don't use it much, I have never gotten around to it.

I'm having an issue with sync on vdj8.... I've tried to disable sync but it doesn't work can you do a video regarding syncing

You would have to use the Virtual DJ that comes with it. That software is LE, which is Limited Edition, meaning the software is limited to that controller

I'm actually working on a complete remap of the controller to be more of a supplemental controller than a stand alone controller. When I am done I will post it.

That is a setting that you can change. I will look up the setting name for you and let you know. Its like autosync or something. I had the same problem a few months ago.
