Im glad that I live in this time, but this is also the time that people show how they are bad at doing things for long-term goals together and focus on their own needs right now. People are like those children that cant resist to eat the marshmellow while they get another one if they wait long enough. The only difference is that the values change troughout the years and their need for things in the moment is usually changing into other things than marshmellows. People do not live everwhere the same. We are lucky. Whose choice is it where you are born and how you are born? I said that we are lucky, but it is also partly bad for us, because it may cause laziness and irresponsibility to become stronger. Its amazing what things we can achieve right now. Its weird to see how advanced certain things around us are. The question is if we contain the knowledge ourselves to rebuild this all if it wouldnt be here anymore. Id say that this fast rate of advancing has a lot of advantages, but also disadvantages. That doesnt mean we should stop. Those disadvantages are a part of advancing. We shouldnt slow down either, but there likely will be problems and we might need to search for ways to prevent them and to stop them when they arise. I still feel a lot of different intense feelings when I look throughout this world and my own formed reality. You should keep options open, even if they dont seem to make sense. But that doesnt mean that you should believe that what makes no sense to you at the moment, it just means that if you believe something you should still keep considering other options. Nothing of what I said has to be true, but its what I from my perspective believe at this moment. All subjective things come from perspectives. Perspectives are the reason that they are being used. Nothing would be usefull or matter without perspectives to say that they do for themselves. This doesnt make them usefull or matter, but it does to the perspectives. My perspective thinks that you should always try to consider other perspectives. Always check every thought of yourself. Dont only think about what you say or do, but also what you think. Correct your own thoughts if you think that they only make things worse and are too biased. Try not to become angry at others because you lose control, but try to keep your own mind right to you and think about it that the other people didnt chose to become that way. They did because they were born and shaped a certain way. Maybe act like you become angry just to correct someones behavior and try to get a person on the right path based on how you see it, but dont lose control. Be happy that you got that realisation and can keep it with you for the rest of your life. There are people that werent "lucky" enough to get the realisation to think your way. Be happy that you got the right one and try to be happy that you have the realisation that you should try to improve it. Again, this is based on my perspective, but try to become a part of the past of other people and be a part of the process of shaping that person. Be a part of the process of realisation in other people. Make them be happy with what they have realised and keep with themselves. Sorry for the long text

@@sorryididntknowwhattochoos2678: The threat of technology isn't the technology; it is how humanity chooses to use it. The ruling class have tipped the scales too far into their favor for too long; it is they who are limiting humanity's social and technological development. We can see this in their desire to slow the development of clean energy, on not raising incomes with the cost of living for over the last 40 years, etc. Society is at a tipping point, just as we are about to enter the technological singularity that will bring forth technologies we have only seen in science fiction as, self driving and flying cars are but the tip of the iceberg. Humanity is at the point we decide wither to destroy ourselves via, environmental catastrophe, warfare, inequality, and the various other struggles facing society; or to take the next logical step for a society as advanced as ours which is, to collectively make the leap into tapping the unlimited resources within the Solar System and beyond. A single metallic asteroid astronomers are aware of; has the mineral wealth equivalent to the Gross Domestic Production (GDP) of the entirety of humanity. It is only through true equality that humanity will be able to harness such resources, due to the vastness of space, and the huge technological development such a venture will require. As the ruling class begins to see the masses as a positive resource; and stops pitting us against one another via religion and politics; our tendency for violence and xenophobia will become a thing of the past. I see events around the world that make me think such social change is already occurring from the bottom up; which will be a force hard for the ruling class to stop. Once humanity makes this social change, there will be nothing for artificial intelligence to fear from humanity, enabling it to see humanity as simply another form of high intelligence, which it can work and advance together..

@Red-Magic5 жыл бұрын
Tbh I want to try lucid dreaming........
@NoSubsWithContent5 жыл бұрын
@@Red-Magic the easiest way is to be in a dark room with your eye's completely relaxed, just keep reminding yourself that it's a dream and don't look at anything directly, just wait untill your peripheral vision is filled with a scene then you have look around by turning your head in the lucid dream. Get used to it and eventually you can start using commands to shape your world.
@phoenixkse39255 жыл бұрын
@@Red-Magic Another good way to lucid dream is to train yourself to notice certain cues that you often see in your dreams. For example, many times if I'm driving a vehicle in a dream, the brakes malfunction in a very specific way. Over time I was able to train myself to notice when they were acting this way, then ask myself, in the dream, "am I dreaming?" The answer was almost always yes, and the instant you realize you're dreaming, you have full control.
@martiddy5 жыл бұрын
@@phoenixkse3925 I've tried to do that sort of things too, but as soon as I realised that I'm dreaming I always wake up immediately 😔
@sorryididntknowwhattochoos26785 жыл бұрын
@@martiddy Thats normal. Usually because of how you feel, but there are other ways too. I have had a lot of lucid dreams now. A lot of people want full control, but I most of the time prefer to just see how things play out. You often remember dreams "fuzzy" when you wake up, but they are actually often very realistic while youre dreaming. My most intensive lucid dream was my first one that I really tried to get. Its because I wrote my dreams down a lot those days. I woke up around 5 because of the excitement. I wasnt disappointed because just seeing how beautiful and realistic everything was was enough to make me happy. It may sound stupid but it seemed even more realistic than reality There was still a kind of feeling that I was dreaming. I unfortunately dont write my dreams down anymore, but I still get lucid dreams sometimes and they are as realistic as reality but often contain more events and things than Id usually experience in real life. I mean that its usually busy. But its fun. I change things just by changing them. So no words for me. People dream different from each other so we cant just expect certain things to happen for everyone. I can feel my feets while Im walking. I also feel the wind and the sun. You can do everything in a dream as what you can imagine right now. The difference is that a lot can happen "simultanously" and unconscious. Can you imagine the feeling of the sun right now? Then you can dream it but usually stronger. Sometimes people arent good at focussing on imagining things, but they still can dream it. Just keep writing down your dreams. Write down that you forgot it if you forgot it. This improved rememberisation for me a lot. I mean that you will eventually remember it often by yourself. This increased how realistic and intense my average dreams were. This also increases your chances to become lucid. Its also fun for me to just remember and feel like you experienced something in your dreams. So try to enjoy that when you didnt become lucid. That can be fun too.

The part of the video (in 5:47) about the patients afraid of heights, that were overcoming their fears by jumping in Virtual Reality reminded me of an idea that i had lately. It is about how when being in conscious dream i would put myself through hundreds of physical tortures on the body and also psychical horrors, to try to reshape my fight or flight responses during life threatening situations like knife attacks, a severe climatic events, shootings and many more. Of course the intensity will grow very slightly and step by step - if i will be able to sustain such stress in a first place. Probably there are some things that can flat out not allow me to try to reach my end result. And all of this in order to be completely (or close to) a full control of thoughts, emotions and other processes during said life threatening occurences. Maybe such thing will be transferable to Virtual Reality too. I've read and watched some stories, where people act ineffectively and instinctively and i was always thinking to myself with confidence ,,If i would be in their place i would have full control of the situation and would've made it much more effectively". But barely imagining the thing, and experiencing it with only two senses, along with many, many more advantages it's easy to say that. I had a dream also lately that completely shattered that confidence and made me that, given my nature i would probably act as them or even worse. And that's how this ,,thought experiment" of some sorts started existing. I'm probably not gonna test it in closest 10 years i feel, but i'm pretty interested in trying it out someday.
@comradeofthebalance31475 жыл бұрын
Vertical Lucid dreams are not exactly something we can command to happen, but that does not mean that increasing the chances of it happening is impossible. Nice thought experiments and training , I am sure many of us tried that too. I do it when awake as Lucid Dreams aren’t a thing for me for some reason
@vertical50445 жыл бұрын
@@comradeofthebalance3147 I didn't mean that they are achievable easily and every time, but rather that when you are in them you have a lot more control than in normal dream. Of course some things can happen, that will lessen or even completely take our control. Thanks. If i were to compare this idea to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, then it would be at the very top, meanwhile right now i'm not even meeting requirements for the lowest and most fundamental things. I'll have to put myself in shape, if i would ever want to try this.

Whenever I play a game I enjoy it, but I tuck away a part of myself that allows me to separate my feelings from it to a certain degree. It’s not real and you can’t take it with you, but that doesn’t mean your experience of it wasn’t, because experience can come in many forms. Enjoy it, but don’t obsess over it.

I believe, at the latest, we'll have full-immersion virtual reality without preset levels, meaning you can create the world or level by just thinking it. This is the only true form of virtual reality in my opinion, this is the way all of us can literally experience our dreams. I believe Elon Musk's neuralink and similar ventures will allow us to have this technology, "ultimate presence" full immersion virtual reality, by the late 2040's, possibly sooner. Great video, covered every important question of virtual reality technology that I can think of. Very informative for those who already don't fully understand or know about the technology.
