Amazing video, wow… the scenery! As I said before you have such great speed. Hearing your steps really helped me keep up the pace. Loved it !!

Thank you Patricia, I'm glad it helped you :) Did you run to it on a treadmill? I feel like KZbin needs more fast paced virtual runs!

Yes I run it on my treadmill at home :) I live in a rural area and when it gets too wet and mucky outside I love using these videos to transport myself into nature. They feel so real! I agree, there isn't many fast pace videos like yours. The fast pace really motivates me to keep up with your speed, love them. @@SwiftTrailsTV

@@patriciapaints it's really nice to hear that, it's exactly why I make them! They are hard work to film too, much harder than just going out for a run - carrying over 1 kilo in my hand for an entire run while trying to control my breathing is not easy! I',m looking forward to making my 'time machine' runs too, where I mix the seasons into one run around the same route.

I bet it's really difficult!! I hate having to run with my phone in my hand so... I can't imagine having to carry a heavy camera, holding it on the same angle, having to be aware of what you're recording, controling breathing, etc.. The great work shows through your videos. I can't wait for the Time Machine runs, what a GREAT idea, wow!!! . @@SwiftTrailsTV

@@patriciapaintsThere's a lot of planning involed too. I have to plan a route thinking about the views, how runnable it is/potential obstacles, what the weather will be like, where will the sun be, how busy will it be, road crossings, etc. Yesterday, I filmed the autumn version of the run I posted last week of the bluebells, so now I have footage from those woods (Greyfield Woods) with all 4 seasons. I've just finished planning a 6-mile Christmas Market run around Bath tonight, that one was complicated!

So sorry for making you fall off Andromeda! Was that because of the panning? I don't do that anymore in my newer videos.

@@SwiftTrailsTV I'm teasing, but I really did laugh hard enough to almost fall off when you jumped over the little dog! Words can't begin to express my gratitude to you and everyone who makes these types of videos. I live up north where we have more winter than summer and these make my treadmill runs so much better. 💗💗

@@Andromeda-g5p You got me, I thought you really did fall off for a minute! Haha I have had to jump over dogs in a few other videos too. I've also tripped and fallen flat on my face a few times while recording runs. I plan to compile those into a short video for peoples entertainment! I'm really glad you enjoy these videos. I started making them during the first lockdown, at that time there weren't many videos like this on KZbin.

Thank you Marie. I get a lot of comments about turning the camera. Unfortunately I can't do anything about my older videos, but I stopped doing this a while back and so you wont find any in my newer videos. I don't use a treadmill myself, so didn't consider how disorientating it was!

Hello all the way over the pond! I've never been to the USA, but would love to visit one day. Point taken! I've already started turning the camera less while recording, the reason I turned it was to show the views, but I get the impression people would rather miss the view and not get disorientated. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the run, despite me turning the camera!

Great video, the scenery is spectacular. The first few minutes I thougth you were on a bicycle until I saw your shadow, then I realized no, speed racer is taking his cheetah out for a little exercise. How fast are you? Holy smokes!

Haha thank you Dutch! I don't consider myself that fast. I'm an 800m/1500m runner (my best times are 2.02 and 4.22 respectively) and I have done some longer distance races (10km best is 37.24 for example) but I try to keep the pace steady on these runs.

hello Swiftrunner ! I had the same impression as the dutch commentator regarding your speed, when I saw your videos first time. All the other runners in the internet run about 10 km/h. So I thought, you have changed the display velocity. But I was wrong. I noticed that, when I saw you overtake other runners. 😊😊 You must be in a good shape. This Stockhill Woods have a very nice scenery and you picked up the best time of the year and the best weather. Thank you for taking us with you. Greetings from Kronach, Franconia

@@reinerhoffmann3764 Haha thank you Reiner. When I had access to a treadmill (ironically I don't use treadmills anymore) I found the virtual runs were too slow for me, so I wanted to created some content at a faster pace! I love running around Stockhill. I've got two more videos from these woods, one in summer and another in winter (with snow). I'll be publishing them over the coming months.

Thanks for constantly turning to the side because i love running sideways and not falling because you make the best running video that totally aren't annoying by suddenly turning 90 degrees in either direction to look at the sun like people trying to run normally do.

Thanks for the kind words!! I put a lot of work into these videos (I have to carry a camera + gimbal in my hand the whole way) so people can watch them for free, in fact they cost me money to make (petrol/parking) and I don't make any money from them. I appreciate that in retrospect, it wasn't a good idea to turn the camera like that, but firstly there's no need for sarcasm and second I hardly do it anyway.

Omg this is the most beautiful virtual run that I found on KZbin. Definitely one of my favorites. Thank you so so much for your effort and for that video. When I saw your shadow holding the camera in your hand through the whole run, I was like oh my goodness. The first 30 minutes went by I don’t even know how. The light the sunshine, these colorful, colorful trees, amazing. Like I’m so thankful you did that. The nature is so so beautiful and I’m so glad I could enjoy running in the woods without getting lost in it, because I definitely would😂. Big big thank you. ☺️

Thank you for your kind words Bella :) You're right, they are hard work to film and my arm certainly does get tired! I've actually gotten lost a few times while recording runs! There is also a winter (snow) and summer variation of this run on the channel (filmed in the same woods, but changed the loop slightly in each version) and I recorded a spring version just a few days ago. I'm planning to create a 'time machine' video that transitions between each season within the same location.

@@SwiftTrailsTV what really omg. I can’t wait to see it and to run of course. Me as a beginner trough all the seasons at once 😂. But seriously, that’s so unique and so creative. I love that idea. And I definitely need to check out the other videos of this run. Winter ❄️ and spring 🤩. I couldn’t run yesterday and today because migraine hit me but definitely tomorrow. Your speed is great even as a beginner, it keeps me going and is challenging. I need something breaks in between but I get stronger. 😊 well thank you for making it easier and more fun

Thank you so much Kimberly. I hope I can take you on more journeys around the beautiful countryside in England. It's really interesting that you enjoyed the panning, I did it because I also look around when on the trails, but it's also been the biggest complaint I've had about my videos, especially this one! May I ask, did you run on a treadmill while watching?
@SuperMamaGrizzly
@SuperMamaGrizzly 7 ай бұрын
@SwiftTrailsTV Sorry to hear about the complaints. I think it's great. No, I'm a hiker and I walk fast so I was powerwalking on the treadmill. My average speed is 3.5 - 4 mph. Walking trail videos go at too slow of a pace for me so I look for running videos.
@SwiftTrailsTV
@SwiftTrailsTV 7 ай бұрын
@@SuperMamaGrizzly That's a 'swift' walking speed 😀 One of the reasons I actually started making these videos is because the existing ones at the time were too slow! I'm glad you can make use of these videos for your powerwalking workouts. I also have some walking videos I'm considering publishing on this channel. They are in the same format as the virtual runs but at around the same pace you powerwalk.

Too many spin arounds for me, it makes for an unsteady run. Maybe could add some arrows to let runners know of a direction change. Beautiful scenery though, looks like a lovely place to run 😊

Thanks for the feedback Lorraine, I'm always trying to improve my videos, so it's good to know what people don't like. Are you referring specifically to when I pan the camera around to look at a view as I'm running or when we go around a bend/turn around to run a different direction? I like the idea of the arrows.
@lorrainek6616
@lorrainek6616 10 ай бұрын
@@SwiftTrailsTVit was mostly when you go around a bend or do a u-turn. I’ve used others that flash an arrow on the screen just before to pre warn 😊

@@lorrainek6616 Fair enough, thanks for the feedback, I'll have a look at adding arrows/warnings in future videos ☺ I've done a few 'straight-line' runs along canals, etc and I do like to avoid sharp turns wherever possible, but some of the routes I do make it nearly impossible!
