Vice Adm. Jon A. Hill, Commander of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA), presents "Missile Defense and Technology Warriors," April 13, 2021, the latest in the Naval Postgraduate School's Virtual SECNAV Guest Lecture Series.
A Distinguished Alumnus of NPS, Hill's presentation discuss how MDA executes on its mission of layered missile defense in response to an evolving and persistent threat. He discussed the importance of partnerships and allies in executing the mission, with an emphasis on the role of emerging technologies and technologists in advancing future capabilities. A Q&A session with current NPS students follows Hill's initial presentation.
Hill is a graduate of NPS' Applied Physics and Ordnance Engineering curriculum. As the 11th director of MDA, Hill oversees the agency’s mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies and friends against missile attacks in all phases of flight.
