May I ask a general question about moving to SLC. How is the tax situation for a 'normal' person? How much added tax on food at Wal-Mart for example? Property tax compared to neighbouring states, such as Idaho or Wyoming? ...and also, is downtown SLC a nightmare for parking? Thanks for your help!

I just moved to Utah from California. I am in Daybreak. I am not loving the inversion crap. Is this mainly in the winter?

Yep. I not only hated it but also unbearably hot summers, so I ended up moving back home to Marin, California. At least in CA we've got the best weather in the country.

The buzz on the street was, people were skipping inspections to be able to close on a house because there was so much competition... is it still that bad? Was it really that competitive?

The buzz on the street is rarely a full picture in terms of the real estate market. Some folks are doing that, but by no means is it a requirement to find a home and have an offer accepted.
