Terrible way to demo without safety concern, holding the template by hand and so close to a cutting tool. He may be very good with it , but you need to consider your customers.

Fun facts The Ball gouge- required about 50 prototypes attempts to get right. The key is precision and control. It is asymmetrical consequently requiring precision and balance.

Finally got a chance to get home and watch the show, mobile data wasn't cooperating! Pretty good, felt like I was standing in front of the booth. Audio could use a little work but I understand this was a last minute thing so the next one will be more betterer I'm sure! The levelling guide looks great, already love my turbo plane so the power carving unit is gonna have to go onto my wishlist for when you guys have a sale next :D

well the obvious favorite attachment of mine, isn't any of the carvers or shapers you make, it's the tool that saves more time than all the other ones do. It's the mini sander attachment, the less hand sanding I have to do, the happier I am, right?

The Contour Sander is one of my favourites too but the larger sander that comes with the Power Carving unit is my new favourite. When we designed this unit, we had the TurboPlane in mind but it turned out to be really excellent for sanding as well. You can slow the motor so it doesn't burn but is still aggressive and with the planer attachment you sand perfectly level and no dust.

@@Kevininkster Yes, working on a 30in crotch 200 yr old white oak, storm damage in new orleans. I carve and do free standing stuff for auctions at my alma mater, Father Flanigans boys home. that's where I learned woodworking as a teen.

I have almost every Arbortech cutter going back to the original silver and the blue blades. I bought one of the first mini grinders sold in the US. All of the tools still work perfectly well and my husband likes to say I’m the only 83 year old woman in my neighborhood with 6 angle grinders.

Would you recommend the turbo plane over the industrial carver? They look like they do very similar jobs, or would you say they are both different uses?

Hi Johnny, thanks for the comment. It depends on the type of work you'd like to do/the wood you work with. I would recommend the TURBOPlane to start off with as it is one of our most well-loved products and suitable for a range of projects and woods! Thanks :)

Are you selling a grinder or the attachment. Your mini carver is way to overpriced ...for a grinder with attachment. We all have grinders and know the price of them. Seems to me more logical to sell the attachment separately than for us just paying for the whole machine. I hope this is noted. I personally bye Manpa tools...attachments that can attach to your grinder. Expensive but solid ...reliable and allot of accessories for what you pay. Also not really available in North America...Canada 🇨🇦 ( Quebec). Your mini carver used to be available through a store called Langevin et Forest and Lee Valley. What happened???
