11:00 We used to get rainstorms almost every day in the early afternoon just about the time school let out In the spring and early fall here in South Florida (near Miami). So, I am two blocks from home when a wall of rain starts up the street behind me. We did not have book bags back then, so I was carrying all my books under my arm when I heard the rain approaching. I began to run like crazy, but the rain was faster and caught me about a block from home, so I was drenched when I made it home. If I had known I was not going to make it, I would have just walked since I would not have gotten any wetter and I wouldn't be all out of breath. B the way the rain was the result of the warm moist air from the Everglades moving east where it collided with the cool air moving west off the ocean.

Don’t say that . LTEX has NOTHING TO DO WITH TRAINS AND THEY ARE DOING NOTHING BUT STEAL OUR LOCOMOTIVES FROM US
@randallellison6421 Жыл бұрын
That's BNSF 9796's as delivered scheme, only thing that's changed is that it's lost its BN herald on the nose and rear end. BNSF carried over the executive and Superfleet schemes respectively on their locomotives during the first couple of years of existence until their first official scheme (what became the Heritage 1 scheme) was revealed.

I always enjoy watching the Grab Bags, however, a couple items of interest were overlooked. Starting at 17:16, one of the CSX 86' boxcars has an "NYC" (New York Central) reporting mark. The Conrail 86' a few cars back, has the same "NYC" marking. Just something that I thought people may find interesting.

Also in the case of locals, both locomotives can have their headlights on, but the designated rear unit will usually have their lights dimmed so they can make reverse moves while still having at least some visibility for motorists at crossing, as well as crews should these moves come in low light situations. This way, the crew doesn't have to constantly go to the rear unit to turn the lights on or off, thus saving time and being safer for the crews too.

To answer your question, yes it is. It's a Milwaukee Road caboose to be exact. If you go to Google Maps and look up the location where the park is, it's right there across the street from the park.

10:29 why he got his headlights on 'dim'? If there’s rain, he should turn them to 'bright' and turn the ditch lights on
@randallellison6421 Жыл бұрын
They have to dim the lights in situations where meets occur, if the trains are parked, or "tied down" as the crews call it, or in the case of locals, BOTH units will have their headlights on with the designated rear unit having its headlight on dim in case they have to make reverse moves to pickup cars from a business.

@Roy-l7v Жыл бұрын
the more i see these cargo containers broken into, it has to be an inside job at the shippers. and at the rail yards, each container has its cargo manafest, hazmat clearance, and other documents, from the time it leaves its mfg's place till it leaves the ship, then the into the rail yard's, loaded then shipped and broken into. any one of these can be the culprit. It could only be an inside job.
@richardreid6377 Жыл бұрын
I've seen plenty that say the ding a lings don't have a clue. Containers open with no hint of the load being disturbed - and half the time in such big boxes they Couldn't move em if they tried. While extremely dark; the one at 10:00 looks to me like another of that sort.
@Roy-l7v Жыл бұрын
@@richardreid6377 Hi Richard, i driven for over 11 yrs. hauled containers from the ports to the rail yards, and back. picked up and delivered and picked up loads and never have i had one just opened. this is a surprize to me that they do on their own. Is this because they didn't secure the doors properly from the git go?
