Definitely needs a floorboard, wipers and full set of windows for Pacific Northwest. I always have my service animal (cat) and walker with me. I have a full set of electronic gadgets, as well. None of these want to be wet and the cat hates wind. Really see a lot to like, especially the trike build as I'm to fragile to stay upright or manage the slope home from anywhere in my tiny town. I could exercise year-round and still get home reliably. Thank you for the presentation.

Me too! I like how sleek it looks and the product is getting more refined. Just spoke to William about the latest batch of these and there's a separator basket/wall thing up front to keep cargo clear of the wheels and water if you're riding in wet conditions... pretty cool!

Terrific review, Court! This takes us back to the early years of America's auto industry, with back-yard mechanics and bicycle shops experimenting with gas, alcohol, and steam powered transport devices. These pioneers developed what would eventually become a worldwide mega-industry! Now William is one of those pioneers that some are envious of and some are amused by. One day, William's photo may hang next to photos of Henry Ford, Barney Oldfield, and Elon Musk! A Big YAY for William! My hat's off to him!

For me the lights are a big deal, I like that they run off the main battery pack and actually function as blinkers... this thing doesn't have a seatbelt and isn't built solid like a car, those lights could save your life if you're riding on the side of a street :)

That is very cool and a VERY good price. When I seen it was Williams creation, I knew it was going to be something very cool and of good quality. I really like him and I hope he does well in the business. I'm not sure how you could put a dog in the front though. I mean it looks pretty open and with those front tires spinning and I didn't see anything to keep the dog from getting a tail or leg caught in the spokes, or am I missing something? Keep up the great work.

Excellent having a mid drive motor that can use the bikes transmission. You can trade torque vs speed and have better energy efficiency,better overall range and better hill climbing ability.I looked at your website and your batteries have fantastic Amperage Hours.This one really interests me. Another thing since it is so narrow and a low frontal cross sectional area(from the front )it looks as if this has great aerodynamics and less drag. I have a question what is the gearing ratio when you shift gears?

There's a lot of bike theft these days, especially electric bikes. This wonderful little vehicle will attract a lot of attention. I'd be afraid of leaving it outside where it might be stolen if I drove it to the store or to work. Is there a way to secure it, locking it, and maybe attaching it to a immovable object like a light pole or telephone pole?

I wonder if this rattles less now that a few years have gone by? That would drive me nuts. I love the lights, gives it a lot of personality and function. The tinting, however, seems really problematic for nighttime riding. It LOOKS cool, which is hard to do with these velomobiles (one of the biggest challenges for these is the cool factor), but I don't think it makes is more functional. If I need that protection, I'll wear a hat.

@seanschwab97156 жыл бұрын
@@popeyegordon truth is, i was thinking, maybe a tractor saddle, or something with a lower back support and taller handlebars would make it look and ride even more comfortable.
@popeyegordon6 жыл бұрын
The issue is the rider position is vertical like on a regular bike, I've never seen seats like you suggest on bikes. But yes, taller handlebars are common adjustments made by older riders. I've done that myself. But the tip-over hazard remains with this design, too narrow wheel base.

Interesting! Obviously its in a higher e-bike price range but I'd rather get this than a $10,000 Stromer ST2S any day. One could get *two* of these for just the price of a single Stromer ST2S. It actually would be a better "commuter" bike vs the Stromer ST2S as it would keep you much more dry in the rain and less sun beaten on the hot days. Its high visibility and turn signalling capability also benefits the commuter.

1) legal n all 50 states 2) not noisy, you heard a cheap sound tack from a cheap camera 3) yes, too top heavy - this will cause the design to fail to launch 4) bikes don't need suspension, it is just an option. You can stand on the pedals and use your knees for large bumps

I don't get it. Its noisy, low visibility (even worse in bad weather) and you still get rained on with the big open side windows. If you do find yourself pedaling in warmer weather your going to roast without wind hitting you from the front. Stability is probably poor in windy conditions, and I bet Santa Ana winds will blow it over. The only advantage I can see is front wind protection in really cold weather, and rain protection if you add side windows. For wind protection he would be better off designing a polycarbonate windshield for his school bus bicycle. Those are cool!
@starshipteddy98714 жыл бұрын
How does it stop you getting wet? Vacuum effect will suck rain on to you as you cycle? What's the point of the failings? It will make you less aerodynamic and it's heavier as a result. Does it have windows and a floor not fitted here?
