Hey guys, today's video is about the best and worst part of living in university halls, plus my first year room tour.
In this video I am talking about some of the positives and negatives about living in university halls, I honestly think uni halls overall is the best accommodation to stay in as a freshers. I'm going to Southampton uni in September and I know this shouldn't be my main worry but I'm so worried that the nightlife isn't going to be that good compared to where I'm from (Bristol) as I'm a sucker for a good night out😅

heyy dw I had the same worries, however I can promise you the nightlife is good. I live in London and so the contrast is mad but Southampton does have good clubs :)

@@virtueigbokwuwe computer science. When i went there for the open day, alot of them were library geeks who probably bust nuts on themselves to anime. And it was 90% guys, like 5 CLAPPED grey tings and only 1 sweet one. Depressing wallah

personally id recommend uni halls because the majority of freshers stay in uni accommodations and it'd be a great way to socialise in large numbers. However it isn't the worst thing to not, Vita living is a great accom

I’m staying at archers road which is the cheapest accommodation lol and my student finance still doesn’t even cover the accommodation let alone maintenance costs sigh. Question is it multicultural in the uni because from what I’m seeing it really isn’t at all and i need some black people man

lauren davis yeah archers road is a good accommodation. Southampton is a predominately white area but there’s a good number of black ppl, join the ACS society and you’ll meet most of them. But yh igy

Would you say that living at home during the first year would make it very difficult to make friends? I prefer living at home as it’s cheaper and I feel much more comfortable (my house is 10 min walk from Uni) but will that prevent me from making any friends? Video was very helpful! Thank you x

Wikey Lorc No living at home won’t make it difficult making friends as there’s other ways of making friends besides your student accom. For example your course friends, societies etc. Thank you :)

holly denton oh yeah, they are completely fine. Accommodation is normally even better than student halls and they do have a lot of students living there just mainly international students x

Hey, yes you allowed other ppl to visit/ stay in your room. I think if they are staying longer than a specific time, you need to tell the accommodation

Yes there are
