Completely unrelated, but a ballet has entered the chat to compliment you on your tour en l’air towards the end. I was impressed.

Did anyone else notice the ballerina doing fouettes in the second half of the vid? Kind of fun to see the iconic coda moves being done simultaneously! I had this weird perceptual shift with Sarafanov where I started to think he was animated rather than a real person. Amazing!

Glad that you liked it. This was after a hour and a half class:) Don't forget to subscribe. Thanks

Incredibile il virtuosismo di Leonid Sarafanov.....sembra volare e non sentire il rumore della ricaduta.... Fantastico!!!!!

Сарафанов!!!! Супертехничный, высокопрофессиональный танцор- всегда приятно на него смотреть и в очередной раз восхищаться его талантом !!! А натура Зеленского , даже в его позе " смотрящего", невооружённым глазом видна

it's crazy that batalov can still do this... :O
@juanjosefarina5 жыл бұрын
Even if Sarafanov did 11 double tours, he just stopped, Batalov is older, did 7 double tours en l'air, he continued with the music doing 5 tours en dehors and then again 3 double tours en l'air to end with the music. He won imo.

Ok now boys! Let's see it with entre-chat six while turning! And I don't mean in between but during the tour en l'air.
Does anyone know why, like with Batalov at the end, the passé leg is never turned out during the passé tour en l'air? I've watched slow motion for pretty much every top dancer, and it is always near parallel. Is this on purpose, or is turnout there simply unrealistically difficult? When I try myself, I find it is necessary to keep parallel; otherwise the body tilts excessively.
@skykao11977 жыл бұрын
This is not always the case, but it often ends up being that way because at such great speed the visual difference between a turned out passé and a parallel passé is very slight, and it's more stable to go to a parallel position.

Ever seen a triple saut de basque? Great dancers achieve turnout in the double, but in the triple it's impossible. Ivan Vasiliev f.ex.

Ciao, i know Igor was superb as a dancer (still is) altough he is around 44 i guess. But he wasn't the kind of dancer with multiple double tours in a row. Nor fast pirouettes. But he had 5-6 very slow, beautifully and clean pirouettes. Therefore he is not playing in this. LOL
@raulishnikov12 жыл бұрын
he couldn't play with the big guys in this (I love Igor, but i don't think he can do more than two doubles in a row)
