I personally find this series to be flat out dumb. With the two groups fighting each other how do they not accidentally attack an ally. The second reason I find it hard to follow is that they believe people with sight to be witches, but later mention they know it's caused by a virus. Also, shouldn't they know sight is normal since animals have sight? Them riding horses, having hair decorations, and well made clothes makes it really hard to believe.

Blind people can ride horses. It's like riding a seeing eye dog. Horses are incredibly intelligent and can memorize routes. As long as the leader of the group knows where they are going all the others have to do is let their mount follow the horse in front of them. I'm a disabled rider, but there are videos of blind riders online that would blow your mind doing complex dressage routines and jumping courses.

Yeah, it's one of the dumbest premises for a major conflict, that Iv ever seen with my sight, haha. The only way this would happen is if sighted people made it, and then, the blind would have zero chance against the sighted. The sighted have a skyscraper sized advantage over the blind, I don't care about heightened sences, blow me, sight is the king of sences for a reason.

Not all of it is realistic, there's a significant number of effective warriors walking around like they aren't blind and a lot of echolocation happens, but it's really not super unrealistic after a handful of generations of blind people. They do an alright job of explaining away everything, it's just the first generation that grew up blind in a sighted world that would have been absolutely fucked

Torches are a weapon for one, and they provide heat. Then there are animals that they likely use to help them which need to see, such as the horses. They need fire for warmth mostly, but also to cook. I didn't see any candles though.

Perhaps the art direction could've been more inventive, opting for a visionary (pardon the pun) approach instead of the tired caveman and dark ages vibe.
