We started our day by visiting an old eatery of Madurai where you get the famous Idiyappam. Then we spent our full day in Madurai Tamil Nadu till evening.

Breakfast at Burma Idiyappam - We started our day by visiting the famous 50-year-old eatery of Madurai - Burma Idiyappam. We had the Idiyappam with Coconut milk & it was so delicious in taste.

Sri Murugan Swamy Temple - We traveled 8 km from Madurai & reached the Thiruparankundram at Sri Murugan Swamy Temple. The temple is situated atop a hill and is dedicated to Lord Murugan ( Lord Kartikeya )
The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandya kings during the 6th century AD and is known for its unique architecture and religious significance.
We had Darshan of Lord Murugan & Devyani Devi ji along with Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, & Lord Vishnu at the Temple.
Temple Visit Timings - 4:30 am - 12:00 pm
4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Lunch at Teppakulam - After this, we had our lunch at Shri Amman Restaurant, Teppakulam. In the Lunch, we had a Special Thali of this Restaurant.
Special Meal Cost - Rs 200
Sungudi Saree Madurai - Sungudi Saree is also very famous in Madurai so, to know more about it we visited Mr Ramesh ji's house in Madurai & they explained to us in detail about the Saree & its history.

Azhagar (Vishnu) reaches the Vaigai river from Azhagar kovil (the temple you covered in the last episode) during the Chithra festival that happens in April. Thiruparankundram is famous for lord Murugan marrying Deivanai. Azhagar kovil also has Pazhamudhirchozhai in the hillock behind it (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murugan_Temple,_Pazhamudircholai) . This place is another padai veedu for lord Murugan, and has the shrine of Valli. Thanks for visiting Madurai and making everyone aware of these historically significant places, in addition to goddess Meenakshi's shrine.

Idiyappam is differently some what alike to Chuda kadamba of Chandanpur Odisha where coconut milk is used in place of rabidi. Rice noodles used in place of poha. Jigarthanda should be made an all India drink 👌

Harish ji Nice videos. Really loved it. The most fascinating thing next to Meenkshi in Madurai is about the local Parotta and street food. ( not the one you had captured) We call it Kai enthi bavan means the hotels where you eat like a self service and tables are not offered here. They are plenty amazingly cheap but very tasty.

You have written Murugan temple differently. Lord Muruga has Six Houses which is called Arupadai Veedu..They are Tiruttani near Chennai, Swamimalai in Thanjavur (nearest town is Kumbakonam) Palamudir Cholai near Madurai, Tirupparan-gundram near Madurai and Tiruchendur near Tuticorin (when going to Tiruchendur Tirunelveli is three hours drive town)

There should be maps on distance between the temple and madurai and the river and the chariot path. I think when such historical place is visited, some history should be shown and somrthing more on culture. The vlog was more of food vlog only.
