Ep 7 Chiplun to Ganpatipule (Ratnagiri District) Shri Parshuram Temple | Konkan Tour, Maharashtra

Chiplun in Ratnagiri district- Maharashtra is Abode of Lord parshuram also popular for lush green landscapes.There are many things you can do here as a tourist and spend one day exploring local food, waterfall and sightseeing.
We started Konkan tour on 17th sept from Mumbai and reached Goa on 2nd October, this particular video was shot on 23rd Sept at Chiplun
We stayed at Amraban Nature Resort, Rs 1700 for double occupancy. It is about 7 km from Chiplun town.
Following are the places we visited during the day
Shri Parshuram Temple - This temple is dedicated to Sage Parashurama, It an ancient temple,
We had our breakfast at the Amraban nature resort - Rs 40 for 6 PC of wade.. and rs 40 for 6 PC of Gharage
Sawant Sada Waterfall - Beautiful waterfall, you need walk for 10 mins to go closer to reach the waterfall.
We hired a boat from Gowalkot Dhakka for 1 hour 30 mins crocodile safari. Sameer - 9764878090 (Boat Owner)
Lunch at Hotel Relajh near Indian oil pump in Chiplun,
Veg thali - Rs 80 along with Chicken Sukka - Rs 100 & Wada - Rs 20 per piece
Aadarsh Dining, near post office - .After lunch we went to a restaurant in chiplun market for Modak - I tried Ukadiche Modak here, price - Rs 20 per piece
We roamed around in Chiplun market for sometime, then we proceeded towards Ganpatipule.
Ganesh Kuipa- We tried another type of modak this was around 45 km from chiplun - Hotel - They serve Flavoured Modak. Rs 100 - 330 gm
We stayed at MTDC Ganpatipule Double occupancy Suite Rs 5600. Their tariff starts from Rs 1700.

Outer layer of Modak is made up of. Special variety of rice- "Ambemohar Rice". This variety has its own flavour and aroma, this is what distinguishes modak flour from regular rice flour.. Amazing coverage as always!!

Yet another great coverage on the History of Lord Parshuram,local cuisine .I can correlate Modak with Manda Pithawala in Odisha .Only difference is Manda pitha comes with different filling/stuffs like mix vegetables ,Gobi,Coconut +Jaggery and are little bigger in size compared to Modak 💕💕💕

Adarsh Dining Hall, Chiplun is my favourite, I visit the place every time I am at Chiplun. Thanks to show us Crocodile Safari, never knew about it, eventhough I visit Devi Karanjeshwari at Base of Govalkot fort every year. One thing I must appreciate the resilience of the Konkan folks, especially Chiplun and Mahad. Just three months back there was flooding of Chiplun. For nearly two days Chiplun city was in flood water and today through your episode we see that every thing is normal ! My respects and salute to the people of Chiplun, Mahad and all of the Konkan region 👏

Chiplun is my village, the tourist attractions mentioned in this video are 4 - 5 km away from my village house. The temple of Lord Prashuram and the Savasada waterfall are very close to the house. In the month of May we go for a swim in the river Vasithi. Sir has given the correct information, visit Hotel More behind the bus depot. Love U Chiplun

Waiting for the Ganpati pule episode. Can't wait to see how Ganpati pule beach looks like as of today. After locals recommended us we luckily took a impromptu halt in Ganpati pule during our Nagpur-Goa road trip back in 1997. we stayed at the MTDC resort near the beach & there was only one family other than us on the beach in the morning. It was that secluded place back then.

Food is an important aspect of travel, but I often find myself fast forwarding the food component when details about it are being discussed as it starts to feel like a cooking show, rather than a travel vlog.
