14:30 there's quite a few Santa SCPs. One is a time traveler who's forced to be Santa to stop a paradox in which his discovery as Santa led to him being captured by the people who made him Santa. Another is a Faery creature who's names give him different forms, and when they call him Santa he's nice, but when they label him as SCP-XYZ (can't remember the number) he decides that the connotations of that name is something scary, so he almost kills everyone until they give him a new name as the Holly King, and because of mythological connotations and the month that it was he loses all power until the equinox. Another is the Yule Man, who the previous Santa claims was a piece of him that broke off during the Fall of the Faeries, and the Yule Man goes around murdering people during Christmas, turning children into toys and forcing other children to make them. There's also a little girl with the power to bend reality to her will, and when she found out Santa wasn't real her staunch denial led to an actual Santa manifesting into reality. Those are just the ones I know of, though I'm sure there's millions more. It's like the self-moving chair in the Anomalous Items Catalogue, there's a billion different versions and nobody seems to mind having fifty billion of them on the same list

Santa's Rampage was my introduction to VCD... and it actually really disturbed me. That idea of Santa just going on a rampage and killing so many of his worker elves, and just all the blood and gore everywhere. It's quite a stark contrast to what Christmas, in general, is meant to be, a time of gift giving and goodwill (Christmas isn't the only holiday that is like this, I'll acknowledge but still). Context is everything and that's why I felt like that with that first viewing of the game despite being okay playing most other rated M games.

25:55/59:31 Fun thing: the _Rangifer tarandus,_ What we Americans call "Reindeer", are also called "Caribou" by Europeans. The popular image of the so-called "Reindeer" in media being that of, well, deer is basically just mass popular confusion due to the name being somewhat shared. So... Yeah, Santa _was_ doing some caribou hunting of sorts, as you've discovered later on!

@purplesam2609 Жыл бұрын
Winter truly is the scarier season, especially when there's snow. It's darker more often, the animals are gone or sleeping, and if you're far out enough, and the snow is thick, it can erase your footprints and muffle sounds around you. In the fall, if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, it may still be warm enough that you'll be fine. In the winter? Your risk of death increases greatly

My thought on the "safety bubble" topic, is that if you know what the danger is and your protected from it, then you know it cant hurt you unless you mess up bigtime. But without knowing what exactly the danger is, theres always the idea in your head "does it even exist?" Tempting you to leave your safety bubble, but its accompanied by the thought "if it is real, what is it? Does my safety bubble even work against it? What if its already gotten in but i dont know because i prepared for something else." The safety bubble idea only provides comfort if you know whats out there, otherwise its yet another source of anxiety. The idea "something is out there, but what is it?" Is always more frightening than "its out there, i know what this thing is and what it will do if i leave the shelter"

Little ol’ innocent me went to the Nickelodeon forums and noticed that I needed an account to post. This was one of my first times ever posting online, and decided that the first letter of my name, “K” would be a good username, but it was too short. I figured “KKid” would work, but that was taken. Frustrated, I decided to continue adding “K” until it accepted it. The next day, I shocked my social studies teacher when I commented that one of the questions asked about my username. She asked what my username was, and I said “kkkkid.” I felt a pit in my stomach when I learned what my username looked like to the layperson.

Being a pagan I obvious celebrate it as Yule. Depending on the tradition and such passed down of course, I like to believe that Odin is riding across the branches of Yggdrasil during the wild hunt on Sleipnir. He stops occasionally to the houses of good pagans who leave out some carrots and other goodies for Sleipnir and sometimes leaves gifts of his own for them. The rule of Gebo. A gift for a gift. Thus X-mas. Anyway I also like to believe if he catches any crappy butthole pagans outside during the hunt then their ass is toast lol. Odin is quite creative when it comes to punishment so I would rather take my chances with a nut bag Santa who drank too much LOL.
