I really like the way the bottom is folded. Much easier than I anticipated.

I have zero sewing skills, but I can surely appreciate the attention to detail. Someday perhaps I will step my game up on the DIY sewing gig.

You mentioned using the stuff sack like a pillow, and even with the buff over it, isn't the fabric a little noisy? Also, could you do video on sewing bathtub bottoms? For when you do tarp ground-dwelling shelters.
@ViscousLandan
@ViscousLandan 5 жыл бұрын
E Lucas I am kind of a little sleeper so I have a habit of just wearing ear plugs at night so the noise never bothers me, DCF material does tend to get less crinkly with age. I would like to do a bathtub video soon! Thanks

Thanks for the great video, I have been considering trying to make some of my own gear. Are you going to make your own backpack? That is what I really want to make, but it seems pretty intimidating. Any thoughts or ideas to help me out?
@ViscousLandan
@ViscousLandan 5 жыл бұрын
harleeyguy1 Thanks! I have made a couple backpacks 5-6 years ago, I hear you on the intimidating part. I think I still have at least one of the packs I made. I’ll dig it out, might make a video about it. It could potential be like a “how it’s made” type. In the future I would love to make another pack out of DCF. I’ve been slowly working on a diy tarp idea I have.
@harleeyguy1
@harleeyguy1 5 жыл бұрын
@@ViscousLandan A "how it's made" vid. would at least give me an idea of were to start. DIY tarp would be good also, I currently use an old Kelty Salida. My next step is a tarp bug bivy combo, but no time soon DCF is so expensive.

Great tutorial, nice and easy to follow. The more videos I watch like this, the more I start to justify trying to find a sewing machine at a thrift store. I think my girlfriend might be upset with me if I bring home something else to stuff into our tiny apartment! Haha.. One thing - what kind of thread are you using here?
