Nice work. A spring loaded (bearing) ball into rounded grooves in the handle, is easier and simpler to implement. Drill a hole (from the front) behind the handle insert a compression spring and a ball. Put the handle back (with appropriate) rounded grooves. The handle can now click into the detented locations and is adjustable with one hand. With the "correct" compression spring, the handle will also stay anywhere along the handle length. 😊

How many times have I been frustrated on this problem. But the Finnish guy with Sisu and Perkele solve this as a charm. Cudos!

Good idea, now for some tapered roller bearings on the vise.
4 жыл бұрын
That vise actually doesn't need them.. because you can't tighten it very very tight. Its designed so that when its tightened, it locks the slide position. Then it keeps its location even when hammered. It holds tight, but can't be used for extra tight squeezing, because slide locks itself. Bearings wouldn't help.

Itse olen miettinyt ratkaisua samaan ongelmaan. 🎅🏻👍🏻🗜🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮

Ratissa on se ongelma, että tarpeeksi suuri halkaisijainen ( jotta vääntöön saisi momenttia ) tulee jossain vaiheessa tielle, noustessaan penkin leukojen yli. Tämä oli itselleni sopivin. Ratkaisuja tietysti on lukuisia.
