Sure! A series like this was missing from KZbin! I have lived in several wine regions. Bordeaux being the most famous, but all of them pretty and precious! I learned so much about wine in Bordeaux, decent wine is very affordable, the culture of the bar à vin allows you to try a myriad of them, the landscape and the architecture are amazing, food is also great too! A feast for the senses!

Rive Gauche and Rive Droite are different blends, in the sense that Cabernet Franc is more/equally tannic than Cabernet Sauvignon (it's his dad!). I guess they could do a similar blend with a CF base. Negociants can try, the problem is the clasification. I prefer less tannic reds, so I prefer Merlot based. In fact Merlot is my favorite red grape, follow by Syrah, because it is not that aggressive but it has all the taste, body, and color. They have a different reputation because of History and historical taste. We used to relate very tannic wines to be more virile, but we shouldn't take it literally ;)

We don't really know much about the Bordeaux region (or France for that matter), so the seeing the maps, hearing the history, and seeing the sights, was wonderful! I still can't believe the level of quality and dedication that goes into each of your videos. This is on par with some of the best high-production documentaries I've seen, if not better. I watch all the seasons in order as they came out and each one is better than the last. You even managed to bring me closer to Bordeaux, towards which I had some kind of repulsion, which I saw when watching the episode that it is normal and a common phenomenon in general. My comments are getting repetitive, but here we go: yet another great episode! Technically speaking it's perfection, be it the editing, the music, the landscapes acting as background for the stories being told... and this is, for me, the major difference from any other wine-dedicated show or chanel: you are telling a story and we just get involved in it and feel like we are actually there meeting those people and experiencing it all. Bliss. As for Bordeaux, I haven't visited for several years and now I just have to go and see that amazing museum! Also great to learn they are exploring new avenues outside the classical chateaux. It's fundamental - for the wine industry as a whole - to get new generations onboard. And your show is a tremendous tool to help achieve this. I have to admit that I grew a bit tired of those wines and it's been a few years since my last bottle of Bordeaux (Portuguese and Italian wines are enough to fill up several lives...). This episode made me want to check on all their novelties. Keep up the excellent work!

This video is an excellent introduction to the great Bordeaux wine region! My experience with wine began years ago in Spain, but the fame of French wine quickly led me to explore the wonderful wines of the Bordeaux region. I tried numerous "affordable" wines and found there are very many fine wines that don't break the bank. Then I branched out and tried many wines from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, South America and Australia. I didn't buy any Bordeaux for years. Now I am back to really appreciating Bordeaux. There are so many styles, flavors, qualities, and surprises.

@@ApriliaRacer14 Hi, pretty difficult question tbh because i didn't saw all France. First of all, it depends if you like calm region or cities with a lot of people. Also, if you like the sea, or the moutain, or the large green field/campaign. For example, Bordeaux is a pretty good example of that because you have the ocean, lake, campaign/vines and the Pyrénées (a chain of moutains) in a 2 hour drive. I will need more information to be accurate but i can already say that if you like cooler climate, the south west and south east of France might not be a good idea. We had several 40°+ just this summer, and it can be pretty difficult to handle but it depends what you call cooler climates 😅
