I just got finished with what I thought was a meditation on meeting my higher self. After watching your video, I realized that I did NOT just meditate, I thought I was meditating, thought being the key word here! Thank you so much for this simple fix to my meditating problem! I controled every aspect of this from my breath to my receiving answers to questions i asked~ It was my ego that was controling my experience~no wonder I don't feel calm and relaxed right now! Thanks again!

This video changed my perspective of meditation 100%. I would always find myself having trouble with some sort of breathing pattern. It's not about counting your breaths or holding them for a certain amount of seconds, its about just being aware of our natural breathing and just BEING. Thank you so much Koi.
@IAmEmotive7 жыл бұрын
The breath is the most difficult part for me. As a trained vocalist, it should be the easiest part, but I now feel like I'm always "thinking of my breath" instead of just being aware of it. It's difficult for to tell. Long before I started meditating or my spiritual journey toward enlightenment, I always considered myself "my breath" more so than a "self," but that mostly stemmed from low self-esteem. So now that I have started down this road, I almost feel the opposite. As if I can't be aware of my breath because all I do is FOCUS on my breathing. It's kind of strange and I can't put my finger on it, but listening to your voice is a very tranquil and serene feeling that reminds me to stop overthinking. I realize I also need to work on patience and expectation, which your videos have helped with immensely. Thank you again for your stellar content. By the way, have you done a video on the significance of your tattoos? They're lovely ☺️ have a good one

I have this sense that it feels like that to him as well. I get this feeling that Koi's perspective of a lot of things (through e.g. meditation) has led him to not have to play an ego in front of the camera, a little like the same way you are with a close friend (without ego, that is). The contrast would be the very energic and high-paced youtuber, who in many cases seem to have a massive ego.

I find this subtle distinction to be really helpful. Thanks for the clarification. One thing that came clear to me during last nights meditation was that the mind is not truly quiet until the "I" thought subsides. Only at this point is stillness truly reached. This is the last thought the mind will hold to, and it is only in releasing it that true quiescence is known.

I always wonder if meditation is awareness of my surroundings. Within my mind, my thoughts, the world one lives when one thinks, a switch I think we can "turn off" if we let what it's out there glow through us. For me, it's like sitting and aim my focus on the sounds from the city, the wind, the cars, the people, etc, and somehow I feel pressure in my heads begins to lift. Koi I don't know if this would me meditation, but it helps me to deal with overthinking. I completely agree with you. Meditation I think is not that complicated, but we have so many misconceptions about it. Meditation is being here and not asking yourself one hundred questions at the same time; the only thing that you have to think about is Maybe to be aware of what you’re doing as long as possible and just letting your thoughts go and coming back to your full awareness every time you feel it’s going away ...and don’t be sad when your mind is hard to master. I think meditation takes time and it depends on the person...just let go
