Ah I've been playing around with mends like these but I was missing the crucial step where you add the quilting cotton and cut the corners. This looks much sturdier and neater. THANK YOU for this very valuable tutorial!!

Oh my gosh! I love this technique of folding back the muslin to the back and then make the weft and warp, definitely something I will be using. Thank you for sharing.

Tip if you want the spaceing even tighter a fork or a widely spaced comb can be used to press the threads tighter and a more solid weave
