Imaging and SHO processing in Pixinsight of NGC 7822 (Astrophotography)

Hey folks! Hope all is well and you've been getting some clear skies. In this astrophotography video I gather data on NGC 7822 nebula region in Cepheus using my Skywatcher Esprit 100 triplet refractor telescope, Moravian 16200EC CCD and Optolong (Ha, OIII and SII) narrowband filters. It was a challenge to gather enough data for this image mainly due to weather. It's positioned well for me in the night sky right now and I can image it all night long. It took me 6 clear nights and I ended up with 29 hours worth. Join me as process this Hubble palette data in Pixinsight from start to finish. Hubble palette images are also referred to as "SHO" which simply stands for Sulphur II, H-alpha and Oxygen III.

Thanks! Yes I shot this twice now. Once with Moravian 16200 CCD and narrowband filters and also with QHY268C and L-extreme filter. Great target!

Shawn, fantastic video in SHO processing. Picked up some tips along the way. You did a dynamic crop on the SHO, but you didn't have that Ha channel. Looks like you fixed that behind the scenes or may be I missed it, I was distracted too. Awesome awesome. Good tutorial!

Dear Shawn, thank you again for sharing some useful tips. Please allow me a question. You mentioned in the beginning of the video that you applied calibration, DBE, etc. on each channel individually. Would you recommend to go "one step further", i.e. apply deconvolution, MLT etc on each before combining them to one RGB ? Thank you for your kind reply. Regards.
