Your very lucky, I never got to see him.

This is one of my favourite tunes from one of my favourite groups. And it was Mick Karns’ bass that got me so into their music. At last, I have a bass and now I can play along. Your method of breaking it into manageable chunks works well for me. Thank you.

That means a lot to me. Thank you. I hope you get it “under your hands” as we say in no time!

@@mindhead2005 it’s coming along. But I am hampered by my lack of experience, being a total beginner with the bass. I’d like to have a go at Rhodesia once I’ve got this cracked.

japan are one of my fav bands, subbed to you when I lived in Ireland but had no bass. I've since moved state side and now have a bass. It's nice to learn some of my fav bass lines from a fellow Irishman :)

Epic timing, great lesson , thank you. Just got a Fretless for the first time since the 80’s (lined this time) my intonation was ‘variable’ in the 80’s on an unmarked Fretless 😂😂👍

That's the plan, anyway. Much harder than I thought to get them close to right, but it's fun so far :) Thanks for the encouragement :)

Really enjoying your lessons thank you. There is one spot in the main verses that when we used to attempt back in 82 (!) Was the third slide was a double slide. That is slide up and back, twice. Hard to play (this is MK of course)! Dont know if its right, but when you listen to it it seems like more than just down and back.
@mindhead20052 жыл бұрын
Could be. Nobody gets these things 100% right, he’s just too varied sometimes for this kind of format

I think I played it like that on the playalong.

Excellent .. well researched as well.. proper breakdown. Such a lack of quality Mick lessons out there. Can't wait to get my teeth into this week .. on a Wal Mk 1 Fretless no less.. Would you suggest any effects? touch of reverb, Chrous, Octaver .. Flanger? Keep up the awesome work.
@mindhead20053 жыл бұрын
MKi Wal! Yum. The Oil on Canvas version has some sort of subtle flanger on it, I think,I must listen again, but the notes will be easier to get exact of you don't use anything like that. Gentlemen Take Polaroids and Cantonese Boy lessons next, so stay tuned, please Thank you for your kind comments
