I just spent a month there with my family. (my wife, our 3 year old daughter, and my mother in law.) We've been to quite a few places in Europe ( we're American), and I think we all agreed Barcelona was our favorite. We rented an apartment in El Raval and enjoyed becoming part of the community. I would add Tibadabo, and Montserrat to the list, be you would need a much larger list to cover all the wonderful things to see and do here. We miss it, and can't wait to return!

One of my favourite places in Barcelona is Sant Pau Recinte Modernista - it's walking distance from Sagrada Familia and the architecture is INCREDIBLE. It's also very quiet and not mobbed by tourists. It's such a hidden gem. Other places I love are Parc Ciutadella and Montjuic

Agreed. Amazing architecture and nice history combined into one.

If you haven't been to the Boqueria on Las Ramblas, please visit it! It's a huge outdoor, covered food market with every type of food known to man! Thank you for the great videos!

The Boqueria is nice, especially if you want to cook food and have access to a rental apartment. There is a great view of the city at the lookout near the Miramar Hotel. Plaza de Catalünia is a nice place too, usually home to a few of those acting "statues". Getting something to eat at sunset near the beach was a nice experience.

When do they do the fountain show? Do you know how far away from Sagrada the fountain is? Love your videos- thank you! (Subscribed)

Funny how you uploaded this now, Walter, as I was just there for 4 days this weekend. Think I'll have to move to this city, summer temperatures in March, beautiful architecture and nice people! Great video mate :)

Tip for the Sagrada Familia: Buy online tickets. The line is almost non-existent there. At least in June 2014 we didn't have to wait at all, we just walked right in, while on the other side of the Basilica, the line went around the corner.
@AndrewMcQuillen5 жыл бұрын
I had the same experience, j booked online the day before for the time I wanted, and walked straight in no queue at all. And it is breathtaking when you go in.

A little disappointed that you didn't mention Camp Nou (2nd most popular place in Barcelona after Sagrada Familia) and FC Barcelona Museum (most popular museum in Barcelona (even more yearly visitors than Picasso Museum))

What I want to know is: do you ever say anything to the person you see robbing someone? What do they do/say when you catch them in the act, or do they not care at all? Does saying something dissuade them at all?

Will you ever come to Bulgaria ? The Sea coast and the mountain cities are always full with tourists from all over europe including the US. You always lump the entire eastern europe in one group as if its all the same as there's nothing worth it to talk it, while you go in detail over multiple cities within other countries. Maybe you should visit Bulgaria and explore more cities.

People often mention Barcelona for this because the beaches are right there in the city. But this is also true in Los Angeles, which could rival any city for its beaches.

The best beaches in Catalonia are not in Barcelona. Greetings from Baecelona.
