Went their in my childhood with the amusements behind the shop jumping off the pier great memory's

Same here, went there with my parents and their friends in the mid seventies and later with my own friends until 1981. So many happy memories going fishing at the pier, swimming at the beach and playing pinball or air hockey in the amusement. And of course learning Irish Traditional Music in the Pubs. I have even worked there for some time in the Beach Hotel. The owner's name back then was Paddy Grace, a very nice man who also was our landlord for the caravans we have rented. I still plan to come back after a few decades once I have retired.
