Elephants' spines cannot support the weight of people and doing so all day can lead to permanent spinal injuries. There are further complications from having a chair (howdah) attached to their backs. This clunky contraption rubs on their backs, causing blisters that can become infected.

The elephants that are used for riding have many disabilities and never get to retire. They are worked to the bone, till one day they simply give up and collapse. It doesn’t matter if the elephant is completely blind, has infected wounds or poorly healed fractures. That elephant costs the owner ‘money’ to feed and is expected to bring in as much of a profit as possible. It is not unusual for an elephant to work 20 hours a day.

🙄. Appreciate your input but the lecture is a little much.. as passionate as you are, elephants have been used in many wars and battles to transport troops and equipment, and are still working animals. And having the endorsement of locals I did not feel the same as you. If you happen to be a local I would focus your cause on prevention via education instead of outlash… i did not feel this animal was abused or mistreated. The first glaring issue i personally wouldve taken issue with, would be the big chain around its foot but i think you missed that. I took that footage after the fact. Now about my video. There was no feedback so this part of dialogue is now complete

@@mediacreationsbydudley1728 oh then because they are used in wars and transport troops then it must be okay to sit on top of them and ride them for fun.😂 Just because stuff happend to animals or people in the past doesn’t mean it’s okay to treat them the same way in the present. Go read on it first before you start giving your opninion about if it’s okay or not.

@@rawastudiosyou came to my channel with your commentary. Like i said. I have nothing else to say on the matter. Just because you disagree with me doesnt really give you grounds to be right or wrong. If you care so much then go teach in a classroom and not here. Youre like a mosquito

@@mediacreationsbydudley1728 my friend you are placing a video of riding wild animals on a open platform where everyone can watch it and react on it, you empty minded person. If you can’t handle comments or criticism from other people then throw your account on private and shut your mouth. 😂
