George has some potentially serious code violations with his layout lighting. The polarity of the lamp holders must be observed with the grounded conductor going to the shell(bulb base) terminal. Otherwise, if the hot wire is connected to the shell terminal someone unscrewing a burned out light bulb, with the main switch on, could get electrocuted if they touch the base of the bulb. Don't mean to be pickey but this is pretty serious.

The red flags were flying big time when I watched this. I agree 100% with you on this. I was formerly a licensed electrical contractor by the City of Chicago.

The lights are on only when operating, and I did change out the sockets to the ceramic coated/shielded ones. So, stop stressing on the minor issues. I’ve used these lights for years. Stay calm.

i remember going to Lombard Hobbies in the 80s and 90s. Originally the store was located in the Eastgate shopping center. I remember Jeff as he was always there whenever I happened by . Jeff is a good guy and happy to see he's still there and doing good. Best of luck to you guys and thanks for keeping this great hobby alive.
