I went to nursery school there. I recall a rocking horse in the reception area

Thank you for these wonderful memories Peter. Especially the infants assembly hall. (I pictured mrs. Langley Fogg playing her usual tune as we all walked in. ) I didnt know Tommy White had died and was saddened to hear of Eddie Coventry’s passing too. Briggs and Coventry (BAC) opened Supaglide on the A12 in Romford. (My ex husband worked there for years) You’ve stirred up some real memories Pete. I could even see Mr. Day “mouthing” over the top of the piano teaching us to sing.

I was christened at St Pauls Church in 1955. The first double glazing windows I had installed was BAC. Great windows.

Thanks for the voyage back in time bro. Had Mr Kelly as my form teacher in the juniors. He was one of the oldest teachers there but really brilliant with us kids. Think he was Australian and really down to earth, no airs and graces. Got us all to chip in to buy and populate a tropical fish aquarium and passed around the class a massive piece of ear wax that he extracted from his ear, just in case we didn’t know what it looked like😂! Used to read a chapter from Arthur Ransom books as a last thing before home time. Heady days😊.

This was entertaining. I went to Bosworth School off of Hilldene Ave which no longer exists. I started in the prefabs and then was transferred to St Ursula's on Straight Road. My parents and kin immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1964 and I now live in Toronto and loving it.

@@MrCyclist thank you. Canada, wow what a land of opportunity to head for in 1964. That would have been my choice had I emigrated.

@@lynns5046 so pleased to hear all that. I never appeared in one class photo but got to walk the walk 60 years later, so can’t complain I guess 😎

@@RileysRamblesCentral I think there was a 'flurry' of photos taken around the Coronation celebrations.
