There was a lot of cool stuff at the junkyard. We actually have the old porcelain/metal sign from the street my husband grew up on...the town had replaced them.

In the small town of Yreka, Ca there's an area of the town preserved from the old west with antique shops with wood floors, they still have the posts where the horses were tethered, there's a shop just like a seed bank , it has lots and lots of seed packets, very neat little area of Yreka.

Loved the junk yard!! The gears would look great on a fence. The horseshoes would make a wonderful sphere. I would have to go with my wish list in that place. The metal column bases would be great for a pot or an orb in the garden. It could be dangerous if I found a junk yard like this! There are so many creative ideas on Pinterest of what you can do with "junk". Thanks for taking us on your shopping trip. I watch both YT channels, and it was fun!!

You are going to love the split second morning glory! I have grown them for the past two years and the second year was self seeded. This year I’m starting with a fresh packet and going to do a couple different areas so hopefully the other ones will self seed again so I’ll have them in several places this year. 🌸

Oh, the Chinese broccoli, you harvest so much earlier than you think. I buy it in the Asian markets here. The florets are tiny, but the stalks and leaves are tender and delicious! Please tell Janey.❤. It’s great in Asian soups and in ramen. I like it better than regular broccoli because it is sweeter and easier to chop.

Seed Bank looked pretty cool - always nice to walk around in a brick/mortar store and not always on-line shopping. The Junk Yard looked pretty organized but was hilarious when you went into the recycling center LMAO.

Robbie - have you ever been to Urban Ore in Berkeley? It is a salvage yard that has indoor (furniture, old doors etc) and outdoor items mostly from old homes etc. Look it up. That would be a fun place for you and Janey to explore. I have purchased a lot of yard decor from there. Glad you and Janey had so much fun.
