Perfect timing filming this. This Walmart had a remodel a week after I made this video. And I had no idea it was even coming, just got lucky

I swear these walmarts used to have more items in a smaller space because they didnt have 100 facings of the same product

This ancient architecture is amazing! Building methods long lost to time. Incredible what early peoples could build with primitive technology.

The "We sell for Less" and "Satisfaction Guaranteed" slogans on the front of the building were used by Walmart back in the late 70's when I worked at WM. We always had a inside joke about it because our managers name was Les.

The Wal-Mart 80’s look is my favorite (and most likely non-existent anywhere anymore) but this is pretty cool.

Easier to find things, but they don't have specific things. I noticed over all every Canadian. Walmart is small compared to the american ones, not as many options

There is a smaller local Walmart here but it doesnt have the older exterior theme. The "1-HR. Photo" is kind of funny to see. Those places used to be everywhere 20+ years ago but have pretty much disappeared.

I'd like to think there is still a 1-hour photo there somewhere in a forgotten corner, with a guy just waiting for a customer for months upon months. Thinking, "Today is gonna be the day, I know it."

Canadian WalMart has their "Great Value" chocolate bars that are actually made in Switzerland for $1 Canadian. We regret not buying more of them the last time we were in one as they are delicious and you can't beat the price.

My Iowa town was a jeopardy question. Where is the smallest Walmart located? Pella, Iowa. We have a bigger one now but not huge. The old one is a hardware store. It was that small.

The one nearest to us seems like it hasn't been restocked since it was built; about ten years newer than that one. They have raised the prices though. No trouble making that change!

The one in Atoka, OK is even smaller and more cramped. My understanding is they're going to build a replacement since there's no land around it to expand into.

As much as I love (and prefer) the 90s look, it’s clear not much thought has been given to keeping it fresh in this store. It’s probably for the best if Walmart rips off the bandaid and brings this location into the 2020s. My local Walmart just remodeled to the latest look, and it’s not that bad! And are my eyes deceiving me, or did they remove the floor tile from the main aisles/action alleys while maintaining it in each department? Such a strange decision and certainly not something I’ve seen before. This store gives off late era Kmart vibes. …side note: I don’t quite understand why Canadian Walmarts use the red and yellow color scheme for price signage. It’s tacky as hell and clashes with Walmart’s color schemes - both today and even the 90s. Why not just white and black like here in the U.S.? Anyway, thanks for the video!
