That show was hysterical I guess you could say I'm not surprised that most of the cast is still alive although up in age. Thx for the tour though and it was lovely to see the Christmas decorations. It probably makes it easier for people when they go visit their loved ones gravesites. (Just a side note I think think they could do without the social distancing sign really too much).

I loved WKRP. When he was doing the Maytag commercials he came to the appliance store that my husband worked as a manager. My husband spent several minutes talking to Gordon and I have a picture taken of the 2 of them. He apparently was a very sweet guy. RIP Gordon. Thanks Steve.🙂

I have a t-shirt commemorating the Thanksgiving turkey drop. I'm sure that is the most well-known episode. Another episode I really liked was when they wrote Jingle for a funeral home and sang it themselves as to not have to pay anyone. The song is hilarious. The moral of the story is that Andy wouldn't let them use the song because a funeral home ad should not be funny. It was a name something like Fentimans Funeral Home. I'm sure that's not the right name but they were never allowed to put out the entire series on DVD because of all the copyrights involved for the songs that they played. I don't know if that was ever resolved. Probably my third favorite episode was when they thought Jennifer had no plans for Christmas so everyone brought her a Christmas tree.

My uncle is buried in that cemetery. He died in 1980 and his grave was initially unmarked as he had been out of contact with family at the time of his passing. I looked it up when I was in Cali in 2004 and arranged to have it marked. The office was open on that day to give me info and they were extremely helpful. I do agree that finding graves, even marked ones, is difficult there without a map and assistance. RIP Leroy William Brannas

I was in high school cross country during the 1988 summer Olympics (yes I am that old) and the talk was all about Flo-Jo and how talented and pretty she was and we hoped we had a good season like she did at the Olympics (sadly we made regionals but not state). I read the Christmas Box and the sequels (and saw the movies), I thought they were great. Thanks for the WKRP information, my first love was radio, and since I was 3 I wanted to be a radio announcer. I went to school for it, worked in it but had to quit because of the lack of jobs. Loved it so much and was even involved with the radio hall of fame (and was a voting member and invited to all the events including the opening). A true story about Tim Reid, he started working for someone my mom later worked for and he was good friends with Tom Dreesen who was in an episode where he played the only white guy at a black station. My dad grew up with him and his family, in fact, I recently went to an event (yes social distancing and wore a mask) for a relative of his. They were one of the first multiracial comedy acts and even though they started in Chicago, as progressive as a city it is still faced some obstacles. Loved WKRP, especially Bailey because she is so much like me, a shy, nerdy, pretty brunette with glasses who is a bit insecure about her talents. People I knew in radio often made comparisons about me to her and I agreed and flattered. Radio used to be like WKRP, now due to corporations owning radio, not so much true now.

Steve - I thought it was only my parish cemetery in which people lavishly decorated their loved ones grave for Christmas! Boy, oh boy.... some of the folks over at El Toro go all-out on the decorating for the holidays.
