Thanks for sharing your experience at Jory's place. The interview with he and his wife about their journey and current situation was a wonderful reminder to enjoy the journey and the people you make it with.

The most important lesson I've learned in life is to only look at the top of the mountain when I am standing at it. Focus at where to place my feet and only one step at a time. I'm so glad to see you understand this so well and show others that there are no shortcuts in life. We can only start from where we are standing in the present moment and time, which is why we should never compare ourselves with others.

One of my favorite quotes; “The test of a true carpenter isn't whether or not they will make mistakes but rather can they fix the ones they will make.” Fun, informative video.

A builder told me “that woodworking and life are alike…it’s not the mistake that you make but how you recover”. Thanks for the video. Blessings. Happy New Year.

Just excellent! I think one of the joys of my woodworking career is having “ADSO” : attention deficit…ooh, shiny object!” All kidding aside, it is the sheer joy of working with wood and always finding new ways, new projects, new friends… you get my drift

Time? I have a picture in my mind of all I wish to accomplish. I’ll be a hundred and twenty, but hey, it’s my goal, no one else’s. Just over halfway there !!

The concept of time is different for creative people. There is Shed time, in which 5 hours feels like 5 minutes and wife time, in which her "now" is sometimes 5 months for the creative bloke :)

Ya got moxie lady! Just realize making mistakes means you are doing something. If someone says they don’t make mistakes or very few of them, they are not doing a thing. You have already graduated from the college of hard knocks by just starting your own business. Now you are working on your MBA and PhD and will learn things they don’t teach in universities and colleges.
