This episode is from my visit to Maasai village in remote Kenya. The Maasai are an indigenous ethnic group in Africa of semi-nomadic people settled in Kenya and Northern Tanzania. They still live a traditional way of life away from modern civilisation. Spending a day with this family and experiencing their lifestyle was not only eye-opening and educational but also extremely humbling. This was a very special day. Thank you Onder!

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: gogetfunding.c...

I really enjoyed this video. I have been a missionary 2 times in Kenya; 2011 and 2012. I fell in love with the country and the people. I have seen quite a bit when I was there. I have been in there homes also. It has been experience that surpass anything I have done. I have been told by the people that you are now a citizen of Kenya. Bless there hearts. Part of my heart is still with them. Far as there poverty, we may not recognize what is wealthy. They take care of there elderly parents, what else can I say. Thank you for the memories, from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Very interesting and enjoyable video. Kinga did an outstanding job interacting with the children and the adults. I see a lot of motorcycle videos on KZbin but would really like to see Kinga make more videos like this. After seeing this video it makes being stuck in a lockdown seem very insignificant.

You are so lovely Kinga, your empathy with all of that family is really something. Tell you what, we take so much for granted in the West don't we, and yet, they are probably far happier with their lot than we ever are. We seem always to be striving for bigger and better " things" that still don't satisfy that endless need !!

The hut might look delapidated and a sign of poverty , but these guys dont value mansions or even school.they value land and their cattle. That family likely owns thousands of acres of savana grassland. The poor in KE dwell in slums , they dont own thousands of cattle with acres for grazing. The size of that household should tell you its a capable famiiy.

Just shows we in civilised western counries want two bedrooms, living room, kitchen bathroom and a outdoor space totally enclosed but yet there in that village open roofs and dung mixed with ashes for walls - it is amazing how simple life can become if people are prepared to live a life of basic understanding - Cheers Kinga.

In UK if livestock was kept in such shelters animal welfare services would be called in.... it is absolutely amazing what these people are putting up with and treating it as normal. Look, I am Architect and I always advocated local building technologies and materials. I think I would be able to help with designing houses built with using only exclusively local materials, no metal sheeting etc. The house would have proper roofing and plumbing and electricity and would be properly ventilated as well. Feel free to get in touch.
