6:50 As someone who lived there myself, I should be able to provide an update on a few things. The park had at one point a temporary car park which was protested by the residents due to the fact they were planning to cut a tree down to make it. Thankfully it is gone now (after being flooded at least twice) since the multistorey has been made (no one other than business owners actually use it). That section of the canal is now almost consistently patrolled by a large family of geese. The Greg's used to be further down the highstreet by WHSmiths. It is now a stationary shop. To my knowledge, the Costa has always been there, but now there is one at the other side of the highstreet. I have only visiting Berkhamsted school a couple of times. Once to see a language event at a theatre on site (a day or so after an event where I think some Ashlyns kids supposedly brought knives), twice in the Chapel to see university stands and for a physics talk. The building closer to the church has the bust of William the Conquerer (since Berkhamsted was where he got the keys to the city of London). Ashlyns back in the day used to have a terrible headmaster so much so that the local news reported the large staff change when it happened.

To further update, the new headmaster of Ashlyns is pretty good, he is ex military, the skate park got upgraded, a new m&s got built, a new multi-story carpark has been built outside Waitrose (quite a pretty building as-well), a new wood park has been added to the park which the temporary car park was in (car park was built while the multi story one was being built, Berkhamsted castle is also where William the conqueror lived for a while and is also the first double moted castle that was built, the air cadet hut that was on Ashlyns ground has now been closed, a new housing estate was built outside of Ashlyns and there are no more middle schools in Berkhamsted they are all primary then straight to secondary
