Iwami Ginzan, located in Shimane prefecture is a beautiful town that's designated a world heritage site. This place is definitely a hidden gem and highly recommended you visit if you want to experience what Japan was like in the past.

I like that place its a real town with real people living there lives and lot of scenic towns lose themselves in the tourist trade and the charm is lost in expensive cheap souvenirs shops everywhere .I hope that does not happen there.

This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I had no idea that there were so many natural places of beauty in Japan. The sunset mixed with the sound of the tempestuous ocean and the wind was so relaxing. The entire video series across the other channels was just so engaging and I felt like I was also there visiting. Thank you for your words of encouragement in this video, and also for sharing your love of travel and food with us ☺️.

Both places are beautiful, but, I am sucker for the ocean/ sea 🌊 , while watching the sun ⛅️ set. I truly appreciate how you and Satoshi show all of us Japan 🇯🇵 through your eyes. I’d love to visit Japan someday, such a beautiful country. 💖

Hi Shinichi. That lighthouse view is absolutely beautiful. I completely understand what it is like, with these hard times. Just remember, you are not alone in it. I hope your travels help keep you positive. It will all work out. I just had my best friend pass away, one that we planned to spend the rest of our lives getting old and laughing together. It was a completely sudden and a total shock. However, she was such an amazingly beautiful person, I know she is right here with me through it all.

10:43 You mention that, currently, the town's population is around 400 but that when the silver mine was at its peak, the population was over 200,000. Did you mean 20,000? I can't imagine 200,000 people in that qaint little valley town.

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. Amazing, really. Just nature at its best. Watching this seemed to melt away some of the chaos of the world, even if just for a short while. I can see why people would go to visit and then not want to leave. Like the guides said, "it's the lifestyle." I really loved this video along with part one. Thank you so much for sharing your trips with us! They really do brighten the day and put smiles on our faces! 😄🤗

Beautiful place!!! I've a question about the sound. Why is there a continuous ringing in the background as you were walking (3.55min)? Is it from a temple?
