Visiting Six Flags Over Georgia | FAMILY VLOG 2023

When we took our "big" spring vacation this year - we put ONE brand new, never-before-been-to, park on our roster - and that was Six Flags Over Georgia.
We've driven up and down the East Coast (from our home in Pennsylvania down to Florida) multiple times, but Six Flags Over Georgia had never made the "stopping" cut, mostly because it's a bit out of the way. (Instead of a straight shot straight south to Orlando, it's adds on an almost 3-hour swing out to the western side of the state.)
But this spring, because we were headed to Dollywood first, and planned to stop at Fun Spot America in Atlanta next - Six Flags Over Georgia was our logical next stop.
Let's just say: it was a "typical" "Six Flags" day.
- Security stopped Derrick (who was pushing the stroller) and told him we couldn't bring in my little "bendy legged tripod" because it could be "used as a weapon" (and he had to run it back out to the car).
- The Flash Pass "office" opened when the park did, but we stood in line waiting for employees to show up for almost 30 minutes (there were about 50 of us standing inside the building, waiting, with ZERO employees anywhere around). We're pretty sure that someone in the queue with us actually called the park, which triggered a group of employees to suddenly enter the building.
- Not sure if it was something I ate or what, but I did not feel good during the first half of the day. Thankfully, it passed, but then Braelynn didn't feel good during the second half of the day.
- Lines were insanely long, a lot of the coasters were running with only one train on the tracks, and they closed off their "single rider" lanes (resulting in those single trains being sent only 50-75% full most of the time).
It was kind of crazy.
Thankfully, we went into the day with fairly low expectations, so none of this phased us. And we were just thankful that we were able to knock this park out at the beginning of our trip - setting the rest of our vacation up to be AMAZING (because anything was going to be better than our day at Six Flags Over Georgia!)

I’m gonna be real, this video was in my feed… and I get Six Flags isn’t the best chain, I’ve been to one lol…and I also know going to a park like this that isn’t Disney is hard with small kids because the adults want to go on totally different rides then the kids do, and kids get cranky and it’s a nightmare. They did seem to have a lot of playground equipment though. Impressed you are trying to Vlog with this, my experience 6- 10 years ago it didn’t work for me. Also I feel this video might not be fair to 6 Flags Over Georgia, because of the mood/health issues you were experiencing. All of those with small kids expecially if you had been doing rollercoaster parks for 3 days is normal. I will say from my experience, and you are pulling it off way better than I did, but I would try vlogging different experiences with the kids over rollercoaster parks.
