For someone visiting from outside, I understand it's important to stay in cities like Delhi and Mumbai and Kolkata and Chennai to experience the culture, the food and everything else that India stands for. But for a true vacation, your destinations should be Goa, Kerala, The Himalayas, the Western Ghats etc. These places host some of the most pristine landscapes that earth has to offer.

We totally agree! It feels like a luxury to have enough time in India to be able to see lots of the big cities as well as go south, but we would recommend it to anyone else who is lucky enough to have enough time to visit many parts of India 😊

Just to clarify, the Portuguese didn't "spend a lot of time in Goa", Goa, was *legally part of Portugal* and considered a core Portuguese province till 1962. People born in Goa before 1962 are Portuguese.

Goa was portuguese territory for me than 400 yrs and they were last to leave India in 61; you will see all the influences in houses churches and food... We as local have tried to maintain it for foreign tourists but rapid urbanisation and influx from other states has created an havoc.. Enjoy the whole scenic landscape with the best of taste

U should also see the haaat katro kamb- it a silent witness to the brutalities enforced by Portuguese on the locals . It bascucally means the locals were tied to the pole and limbs cut off is they did not convert to Christianity. And this done by the permission given by Vatican and the person who committed the atrocities is now hailed as Saint Xavier. This is also part of history every Tourist( Indian and Foreigners) must visit.

for best beaches in India there are andaman n nicobar islands (572 islands) and lakshadweep islands (36 islands). lakshadweep is close to maldives has got unharmed coral reeves. it's like Maldives at very lesser cost. both andaman and lakshadweep has great water. Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Islands of Andaman has been rated as best beach in asia by trip advisor and others. but you need to take permit before entering. you can ask any travel agency do that work for you. Andaman is more tourist friendly than Lakshadweep.

I always suggest first time foreign tourists in India to ignore large cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. Land in Bangalore and start with Kerala to acclimatise, then follow the western ghats on coastal areas and visit Mangalore, Gokarna, Goa. Spend few days in Karnataka or Tamilnadu to do the ancient architecture and temple tours. Then goto MP and Rajasthan. While leaving stay a day in Delhi and do a guided tour. In subsequent visits can do Delhi , Sikkim, Himachal, NE etc. Food is good all over the country.

Indian is very different from north to south , east to west. India has 5 seasons, we have desert, snowy mountains, beaches backwaters and hillstation. It's one of most geographically diverse country in the world If you're in India now, in the month of January. You can go to Thar desert in rajasthan, and just 924km from the desert you can visit a city in Himachal Pradesh called "Shimla". It's a hillstation where you can experience snowfall It's insane that after you travel 924km you will literally go from a desert to snowy hillstation city😂 That's how insane India's geography is!!

An alternate way to go to Butterfly beach is to take a boat from Palolem or Agonda beach and if you are lucky you might even spot some dolphins along the way. This is way is also much easier and faster.

Well, I am mix of all East, west, north and south India. Well Don't think my father is in railways haha. He is not anyways. Now I must say, All places you will find something interesting. You have to stay more in India to understand the beauty of culture and diversity. Right now I am in South India, This place is so amazing and every state people live there, all mix feeling. All cultural program connect people and make bonding strong. Every month whether some festival time or some events happen here.

Awesome video, guys! I am planing to go Goa and Kerala next February. Thanks for sharing. Is it ok to fly a drone in Kerala and Goa? I know that drones are banned in India. I would say New Delhi and Mumbai are more restricted.

You would have loved Goa even more 60 years ago. Clean, pristine, safe, law and order, honest, comfortable and clean sea shores. That's the Goa where I was born and bred. But now all I see is garbage everywhere, no law and order, inappropriate development, illegal structures, folks grabbing other people's properties, spit everywhere, degredation of beaches and hills and rivers and creeks, rampant bribery, coal infested environment, and a lot more heart breaking issues. Nonetheless, Goa is my land and will always love it and care for it. Make the most of your stay in Goa.
