We enjoyed a brief walk through the wall, the historic city, the cathedral and the entrance to the center through the Plaza de Santa Teresa.
And in the end we couldn't leave without trying one of the typical sweets that are made around here inspired by the different tourist icons of the city.
Ávila is above all famous for its beautiful, perfectly preserved walls thanks to its central location in the Iberian Peninsula, which was able to avoid the various great wars that Spain suffered throughout its history.
On this central plateau above 1,000 meters high, Ávila enjoys a dry and harsh climate, but also cooler, which is appreciated in summer as in this month of July when you can walk with a pleasant temperature of about 20 at 25 degrees.
