We had an action packed day in Switzerland, making 3 different stops for some very unique attractions! First we'll visit what can only be described as a literal playground so we can experience our first ever butterfly and water jump! We had wayyyy too much fun here. Next we'll visit Switzerland's largest theme park Conny-land, home to a one of a kind Pax shuttle coaster called Cobra. Finally, we'll head over to Ticiland to ride a fairly new Zierer family coaster. It's a lot to cover.... come join us for the day!

23:46 There actually were Dolphins in the big closed off area you mentioned earlier. It was like the main attraction of Conny Land. Though around 2010 the park was constantly in the news because in only 3 years 8 Dolphins died. This went up to the Swiss Parliament and they decided in 2013 to not allow anymore to import Dolphins into Switzerland in general, which put an end to the Dolphins in Conny Land.

Conny-Land was originally founded to be like a small version of seaworld, they used to have dolphins with which they did shows multiple times a day. But as animal welfare became more of a topic they got more and more under critique, so they pivoted away from that and towards having more rides.

2:32 It's called a nautic jet and they're found all throughout Europe. They're made by a company called Heege (which is now owned by Sunkid), they also make the Luna Loops (the 'flippy thing'), the Cable Cars (the one that goes through the plants) and the Butterfly among many other self-operated rides. I love them.

I am swiss to. Arround our area where we live, there is a LOT of spare land. A view decades ago they wanted to build there a big amousment park. The problem is: Switzerland is tooo expensiv. I mean: Europapark costs 60 EUR a day to enter. Conny Land, which is very, very small and has no big coasters or something like this, costs about 40 EUR. I think, you could build 100 Conny Lands inside of Europapark, it's so small. Now imagine, having a big amousment park in Switzerland, paying Swiss salarys: A ticket for a day would cost you 150-200 EUR/CHF. I mean: "Bratwurst mit Pommes" for 13 CHF, like in the video: That's cheap. And the two other plates, 40 EUR with something to drink: Very cheap too. If you go eating lunch in a Restaurant, normaly only the menu would cost you about 25 EUR. With a drink and a coffee at the end: 30-35 EUR. So a big theme park in Switzerland: Only rich people could affort it. So they declined the plans. The ingredible big landscape is still "plain". The landscape is easy twice as big as the landscape from Europapark.

Yeah those are some unique rides. Especially the stuff at that airfield in the beginning is just absolute classic goodness! These kinds of self operated rides by Sunkid are all over Europe, especially at very small and local parks but also some mid sized ones. The Nautic Jet boat jumps are just plain incredible and I'm so glad to see you 2 finally trying them.

Some years ago, they had dolphins. I went there for my sisters 18th birthday because she was allowed to go swimming with the dolphins. It was unique and you couldnt do that anywhere else. It was their main attraction until some years ago. Also some information about Corba: I think it holds the record for the longest time to build a roller coaster. As far as I know they went with several different manufacturers and it took like 7 years or something like that. When it finally opened it already run that badly that they to close it again after short while since guests got seriously injured, some where admitted to the hospital because of brain bleeding caused by the ride. I think now its as comfortable as it can be, it has new tracking and a new train...so it was WAY worse before that.

if you like that first stop i think you'd love wild- und freizeitpark Klotten in west Germany, it's a small amusement park/zoo combo with some adorable shows and very fun attractions. a bit of a larger version of this first stop with a very nice combination of smaller self-operated atractions and somewhat larger rides. It is sadly kinda located in the middle of nowhere but if you're ever in the neighborhood i'd recomend stopping by this little hidden gem! :D

If you are in the general Area again, there are some other Fun Places nearby, one really close to the one in Sitterdorf, it's called Freizeitpark Niederbüren, unfortunate they don't have any coasters but still some fun stuff to do. Another trip that might be worth it is Kronberg, they have an Alpine coaster and some fun climbing experiences. Also a nice Mountain with a gondola and some great views.

That indoor park is pretty much exactly what Toverland looked like on their first few years of operation. Are there going to be big woodies and B&Ms in their future, too? Not with that attendance there aren't.

Conny-Land used to have dolphin shows as their biggest attraction, that's probably the reason for the fountain. They stopped 2013 after dolphin shows in general came under scrutiny (rightfully so IMHO) and animals passed away.

Are you going to buy a Nautic Jet for your back garden? Sunkid sells them for around €80.000-€100.000 to parks. Also, Cobra is not just a PAX-coaster. Before it opened to the public Intamin had to do a Re-track because the PAX track did not meet the TÜV requirements for safety. And now Sunkid, yea the same company that makes the Nautic Jets and Butterflies you did in the other park, installed a new train on Cobra and new control system. So what exactly of PAX other then the layout is left of this coaster?

Great episode. This was a good example of more freedom in Europe than America. Europeans are intelligent and have common sense which is why playground rides with a little risk factor are allowed. Americans would be suing the playground because the leaves broke their legs and caused devastating emotional harm.
