Muhammad Ali was one of those People who was bigger than life with a very large Personality. There were some People in His past that wanted to dislike Him, but just couldn’t! When I was a kid, I can remember when He was Cassius Clay. My Mama and I were both really into Boxing and We just loved watching Cassius Clay fight. He was a young, seasoned fighter, but with Angelo Dundee coaching Him, He became a Powerhouse! He won the Heavyweight Championship in 1964 against Sonny Liston. That was the first time I ever watched Boxing on TV, I was 8 years old! That was the same year He changed his name and became Muhammad Ali. He was stripped of His Heavyweight Title in 1967, because He refused to join the military. He was finally allowed to fight again in 1970. Sorry for rambling, can You tell that I’m a Fan? Thank You for taking us to Louisville, KY with You so that we could visit “The Greatest Fighter of All Time.” I just loved the inscription on his Tombstone and also the one on His standing Marker. As always Steve, this was a Great video. Sorry for getting carried away. Blessings to You and Jim! ❤❤❤

My husband's maternal grandmother was a friend of Muhammad Ali's. In the winter of 1979, Ali was being trained by Panama Lewis in Puerto Rico. Ali had almost no money. My husband's grandmother would often pay for Ali's meals at Howard Johnson's. They also went to Back Street Hong Kong.

I have only two sports heroes. Ted Williams and Muhammad Ali. Ted was the best baseball hitter in my lifetime, but gave up years to serve as a fighter pilot in the just wars, WW2 and Korea. Ali gave up the heart of his career because he refused to serve in an unjust war. Unfortunately. visiting Ted is very problematic.

I have seen on the Find A Grave website that there is a copper bust of his image there at his grave. Hopefully no one there has stolen it or attempted to steal it as a souvenir for themselves. I know there was a stone bust of Jim Morrison at his grave in Paris, France 🇫🇷 but that was taken by someone who wanted it as a souvenir for himself. I have seen on the KZbin video series “Hollywood Graveyard” where host Arthur Dark went there and there was plexiglass shields around his grave as people would keep breaking off pieces of it for souvenirs, plexiglass shields is also around the grave of Poet Oscar Wilde as some said to me that lots of women left their lipstick imprint on his grave there. Well hopefully next video you can try to get Harland Sanders grave there and I have seen him profiled on the History Channel TV Show “The Food That Built America”. He could be a mean and shrewd businessman especially when he had his gas station and restaurant there in Kentucky, even where he got into a shootout with rivals who were painting over signs for his gas station back during the Great Depression. If you saw the opening ceremonies of the 1984 Olympics where Muhammad Ali light the Olympic Torch at the LA Memorial Colosseum. I wanted to go some events but I couldn’t, now that they are coming back, I certainly am going to go this time.
