I know watching a video doesn’t do justice to actually seeing the Halloween 1978 shooting locations in person, but I am honored to have seen these sights vicariously through you and your blog! Thank you so much Kylie!!

Wow, cool vlog.Thanks for taking us along on the ride. I can't wait to go to these locations when I'm in California. Especially that horror coffee shop. The May Queen sounds good, but i want to see what else they have and drive to locations in California. Also, Scott kinda looks like that guy from the fabelmans, but taller, lol. But I'm glad you guys had fun and got to see the iconic locations of one your favorite horror franchises.Anyway Happy Halloween!

Such a fun vlog, Kylie! Love the Freddy sweater! It’s too bad you guys had to miss out on the graveyard, but I’m glad you had fun visiting the other locations.

This was an awesome fun vlog! And for me, this was actually pretty cool to see overall. Not just for the specific locations you guys went to but also just the general area you guys drove through as I'm not too familiar with California as I've only visited the state once but spent the majority of my time in San Fran. So this was super fun! Nice to see Scott in the vlog today as well. Thanks for taking us with you on this little trip! Also I feel you on the intro. I hate when I hit my funny bone or anything super sensitive on my body cause it hurts a ton

If you're ever in South Pasadena, I work with the SugarMynt Gallery and conduct 45 minute waking tours around town where they shot HALLOWEEN (1978), HALLOWEEN II (1981) and some of Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN (2007) all shot close together (some even using the same streets). I noticed there were quite a number of locations missed. The Michael Myer House is used for office space. Each room has been divided into separate offices. It's not necessarily open to the public unless you have some business dealings to attend to. In the 90s, it was used as a chiropractors office.

I saw the Doyle house last year during the H45 tour and unfortunately they had started gutting the inside but luckily the outside front balcony was still intact at the time though I am sad to see it's mostly gone and even sadder I just learned the upstairs of that house was used for the Doyle house upstairs interior!

You’re so lucky you live so close to the shooting locations for two of the greatest slashers of all time! Really appreciated the bonus treat of seeing the elm street houses too! Also so cool to see you’re into karaoke so much lol my horror cult always has that at our parties but I didnt go this year cuz my old college buddy was visiting from outta town and invited me to haunted houses. But I usually sing too and I’ve been told my voice is good lol The Michael gallery is definitely the peak of this trip! Sorry you had to sacrifice seeing the graveyard but the whole trip is 10/10 for me. Thank you so much for taking us along with you! Happy Halloween!!

I went there in early June and it was a blast. The little museum must have been closed. My fav location was definitely Laurie’s house and getting to pose with a pumpkin The nightmare house was visible when I went so I guess the owner got tired of people going to see it over the summer

The coffee shooooooop! Oh my God, I would never go anywhere else lol What is in the May Queen? Is Scott just as nerdy about this as you are because that's always fun, haha. How cool was this to see all of these places! I have so many places I want to see. Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies and I'm 3hr from where they filmed it. I still haven't been. I know they filmed Practical Magic in Oregon, but I think the house is gone or it was built strictly for the movie, which is a bummer.
@KylieRoseanneАй бұрын
They May Queen is an iced kinda foamy matcha drink and they sprinkle dried edible flower petals on top it's sooooo yummy. There's also a strawberry cream they put on top but I don't get it, it's a little too sweet for me
@DesiSJАй бұрын
@KylieRoseanne a lot of that strawberry stuff is straight sugar but I would be all about the edible flowers lol

Nice, I've seen many Halloween location vids and they never get old, always fun.. I'll tell ya that those streets feel very Midwestern with the homes and trees, typical midwest neighborhood and it translates really well in the film minus the shot of a palm tree lol.. when I watch Halloween it feels like Illinois and not California to me, credit to John Carpenter.. cool Freddy sweater too..
@KylieRoseanneАй бұрын
I love the style of neighborhood, I'm gonna have to retire in Pasadena I'm sure of it
@BB13131313Ай бұрын
@@KylieRoseanneyeah it's truly a great looking neighborhood.. it's so picturesque that I ignore that the color of the leaves on the trees don't matchup with what I'd expect in late October around here, but I don't care, I still get strong sunny September/early October fall vibes..

I went to the michael myers house on Halloween a couple years ago. It was awesome! He hands out candy! The VIBES were truly amazing. All the houses in that area are decorated and everyone is dressed up. The owner of the Laurie house hands out candy. I met Jason Segal lol. It was an experience for sure! Also the house from pee wees big adventure is in that area.

Correction: The Doyle house is under construction (not the Wallace house), and the Wallace house you showed was not the Wallace house. It was the next one over to the right of what you showed. Great video, but just had to correct you on that. Hope that's okay. Just wanted to help.
@wpp7562Ай бұрын
I noticed that you did correctly say that it was the Doyle house under construction later in your video (when you are back in your podcast studio space), but again, the Wallace house you posed in front of is not the Wallace house. Also, fun fact, the library across from Laurie Strode's house has a bench in front of it with a plague dedicated to Moustapha Akkad as "The Godfather of the HALLOWEEN films." Again, great video and just wanted to help with my comments.
@KylieRoseanneАй бұрын
It was the same address as what was listed online
@wpp7562Ай бұрын
@@KylieRoseanne Maybe the online site you looked up had the wrong address or you accidentally stood in front of the wrong address. You were standing in front of 1533 Orange Grove, but the Wallace House is 1537 Orange Grove. I'm a big Halloween fan, but that's also my neighborhood, so I run by there all the time when working out. I also just googled it and it properly said the Wallace house was 1537 Orange Grove. Again, I am not trying to trip up your video as it was truly a great video, and I have also seen your Haunted Hippie page and I really do enjoy all your content, so please don't look at my reply as trolling or anything negative like that. I was just trying to help as a fan of your content. Keep up the great work!

This video post is like Creature Features I grew up watching. You may be a horror host in you. Could try those old mansions they filmed Night of the Demons and Hell Night. My first filmed locale was Alcatraz some years after Escape From Alcatraz was filmed with Clint Eastwood and two decades later The Rock with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage. The Winchester House is debated if any parts of it was for The Winchester movie or not.

Ha Ha Ha you hit your funny bone. 🦴 Just kidding boy I know how that feels. 😮 Please order me a Haddonfield. 👍 Please give us a karaoke video someday. Don’t be embarrassed. So is there a map of these movie locations? If I’m ever that way I’d like to know. We need more Horror theme food and drink places. At least where I live there is one with Cars in it and they rotate the cars every few weeks. Did you see that TV and VCR combo? I know you would love one of those. I want that Creature from the Black Lagoon hanging on the wall. I have just the place for it. That guy mannequin of Bob on the wall I first thought it was Scott. 😅 Scott behind the hedge freaked 👍 so good. Meyers house was awesome. Oh that big Sweater is so nice. That picture you got deserves the proper frame, give it lots of thought. Again awesome video.
