I thought I had seen all the "making of", "history of", "locations of" Halloween. But yours is the best and most informative. You actually got into the Myers house. And your footage of from '94 and now is great. Getting access to the people is great. I'd love to know why in H2 '81 did they go through the trouble of reshooting Michael off the balcony, and changing the location of the balcony but used original footage up to that point.

I have just had the most enormous pleasure of visiting several of the original Halloween (1978) locations in South Pasadena, California. And in the process finally meeting an objective I first set myself over 25 years ago. Some people advise against visiting iconic movie locations, in case it somehow destroys the magic of the movie itself. Well, it certainly has done nothing of the kind in my case. In fact it has ENHANCED the entire Halloween experience for me. And you will not be surprised to learn that, having returned to London, I have re-viewed the film several more times, each time feeling ever more immersed in it. And what are my most abiding memories of my visit? Firstly how close together most of the main locations are. Secondly, how buildings and houses supposedly side-by-side are often entire streets apart. Thirdly, that the Myers House, though still entirely intact and refurbished, has bee relocated, and is now around 100 yards distant from its original position and is on the opposite side of the road. And my greatest disappointment? Well there wasn't one. It was all TOTALLY wonderful. However, mentioning TOTALLY, I had nurtured a faint hope that, just maybe, the wonderful PJ Soles (Lynda Van Der Klok) might come walking by, like she first did in the spring on 1978. Sadly it was not to be. But who knows? Maybe one day!
@jimk54473 жыл бұрын
That's cool the guy was just walking by and yelled out for the demolishers to stop right before they bulldozed it down and bought it with any place to put it. Before people buy famous houses like the Halloween, the Goonies houses etc. They should know fans are going to come visit it all the time. It's cool though they guy hedge trimmer guy said it ok for the fans to take pictures and pieces of it with them.

When Bob and Lynda pull up in front of the house where Annie was babysitting Lindsey and Lynda is telling Bob about Annie distracting Lindsey so they can sneak upstairs to the bedroom and Bob says "First I rip your clothes off, then you rip my clothes off then we rip Lindsey's clothes off" creeps me out. Bob is a creep talking about them ripping off little Lindsey's clothes

I watched the original 'Halloween' movie at a local Drive-in back in late 1978, with friends in a large 'land-yacht' Dodge Monaco station wagon. I was more interested in the 'over-buttered' popcorn bucket and the girl with 'high-beam headlights' working at the concession stand. Only recently have I come to know the original Halloween movie was filmed in California, believing it was really Illinois. PJ Soles was a smokin' hot chick in the early 80s. Someone I and my homies wanted to gettogether with (if you know what I mean). This woman is legendary in modern pop-culture, think 'Rock and Roll High School' and 'Stripes'. A stroll with PJ Soles is the end to great day in the 21st century.
