Have you added Ben Alder James..? We walked from Bridge of Gaur to Ben Alder Cottage. Stayed overnight, and then did the hill. Walked back to Corrour Station and on to Rannoch (along the railway) and back to Bridge of Gaur. A really long weekend..!! 😉

Recently subscribed James, loving the channel. Just wanted to ask, what attachment are you using to carry your camera on your shoulder strap? At the moment I carry my dslr in my bag and I'm sure I end up taking less photos as it's not to hand!

What an incredible feeling when you break through the cloud and rewarded with the most breath taking views. I was on buachaille etive beag Thursday 2nd September and experienced the most amazing cloud inversion. First comment on your page, loving the channel and your journey through the munros. I'm also doing the same, hit my 100th this year bringing me up to 170. This brings back memories earlier the year, I done the 3 of them in poor weather and was under pressure for the return train journey, I remember taking a wrong turn and heading up the valley to Ben Alder which would have been a disaster but managed to catch it in time then a ridiculous slog up boggy terrain to summit on the 2nd munro Sgor Gaibhre, made it round in just over 6 hours and had time for a delicious cheese toastie in the cafe there before my return train arrived. All the best going forward and hitting triple figures soon.

It really is, couldn’t believe it when I looked back and realised I was out the clouds 😁 This was filmed on Fri 3rd, must have been an amazing couple of days for inversions! Well done on hitting 100 for the year! Amazing achievement, getting close to 200 must be a great feeling. Kind of wish I had done the other 2 Munros, but its a great reason to return some day 😁 might be a winter excursion.. Thanks for watching, Atb, James

Nice one James, stunning views! Got fond memories of Corrour - we spent a night at Loch Ossian youth hostel so we could bag Carn Dearg and Sgor Gaibhre the following day. The station house was a fancy restaurant back then as well, so enjoyed a fine dining experience on the Saturday night. Love the trainspotting references as well 😄

Inversions make a medoicre day sometimes the best days, don't think you'll get a better day for this. Always wanted to do these hills was just unsure if dogs were allowed on the train so not attempted it, my dog also hates them, think i'll attempt it in winter. How did Lexi get on with her first train ride?
@ScottishMunroJourney3 жыл бұрын
Always better when you don’t expect it too 😁 Would be a great winter hill, I wanted a nice easy day after my recent trips 😂 Lexi was fine, just unsure of the gap when getting on the train but all good apart from that!
