There’s two in Adelaide Australia…same thing the lease as they call it is up here soon too will be interesting if they renew it cost them so much money to build the enclosure as they have to get approval from the Chinese and have everything to there liking.

We saw the pandas years ago at the San Diego Zoo. We stood in line forever, and they sort of hurried us through as there were people lined up behind us. I think the extra crowds that year were due to a little baby that was there. Happy New Year to both Jacob and Jenn- glad you are happy in your home now 🥰

This zoo carriers so manu memories from my Childhood and Jacob the Baby Pandas are the Best. Its like the cutest express ever. They are super active in Spring. And the lions are actually Brothers. Their granddad was actually one of the first orginial lions at the Zoo. Its so cool to take my little one to the zoo that I got to go to as a kiddo.

The Chinese govt. also got a “rental fee” of over one million dollars per panda per year from each zoo for the privilege of housing the pandas!not a bad deal for the Chinese!You. Young flamingos are gray- the amount of the carotin in flamingos turns them pink ! More shrimp please for the flamingos!

Edinburgh zoo in Scotland also currently has panda's but China are taking those back soon as well, so it isn't just America losing them.

The Madrid Zoo is also famous for its Panda's and were apart of the iconography for the zoo's 50th anniversary in 2022. they got Pandas in 1978. Chulin (1982-1996) was the first Panda born using artificial insemination in Europe.

I think the giant pandas are the only animals that are considered property of the country they come from, zoos can trade any other animal with each other-especially for purposes of breeding (ex. lions)

The pandas are my favorite animals. We have 2 pandas in our country too. Last year 3. But baby goes back.but the cost 1 million per panda per year. So that is 4 miljoen per year for 4 pandas. So the not only are owned by china, but the have too pay for it too.per year.and we have a special souvenir shop too for the pandas.

Fun giant panda fact. In Chinse they are called dà xióng māo, which means "big bear cat" (māo pronounced mauw is cat in Chinese, which is funny). Apparently panda's have cat like eyes and that's why they are called bear cats. But you can almost never check that because the lazy buggers are always napping...
