We just did this resort on our cruise off the wonder of the seas and it was great had so many shops and the pool was awesome. Yes we saw the Flamingos too..

The port area in Costa maya is great, lots to do without ever leaving the port area. We have stayed in this area a few times in the past and just relaxed, but this time we wanted to do something different and explore Costa maya outside the gates ☺️

@ryanandkala yes totally agree with you. I would love to see the Myan temples on my bucket list. Next time we go I'm doing that tour you did. You guys are so much in sync with each other that's great. Did you guys find that bar with the Rope swing seats at the bar. They made great Cadillac Margaritas. You could sit backwards staring at the crowds going by while sipping on a cocktail. There also was a little shop that sold rhinestone and Swarovski crystals string bikinis. My wife bought one they had them at $300 which for crystals and rhinestone is good in itself but I got her down to $200. Everyone there was so friendly. When my wife got back on the ship she put on that swimsuit and got tons of complaints and after a few days wearing it on ship and beach it's held up fine. We're leaving in 4 days to go on Navigator of seas for 7 days then we're off too alaska in 3 months. We love following you guys your videos don't have all that loud music and you both keep it real. 👍👍

I've only been on 2 cruises. Started too late in life. I've only done Carnival. The Conquest was my first, and the Magic was my second. Next year, I'm doing the Disney Treasure, and in 2026, I'm doing the Carnival Mardi Gras. 😊

We love Carnival. We do want to try Royal too but Carnival has been good for us and our family with a 12yr old. We are booked for a journeys cruise in 2026! (14days) . Super excited! Another great video. Which NCL and Celebrity ships are you on? Those are our favorite lines. The Celebrity Silhouette class of ships is the most fun. Our best cruise in 30 years of cruising. The live music and dancing on Celebrity and NCL are the best at sea.

Will have to check out that resort. Bacalar? Could you maybe spell that for me? Last time we went to Maya Chan and I think that might be hard to beat just for the amazing bohemian vibe, but that one is really pretty! Not terribly interested in ruins (my personal history geekdom lies elsewhere), so we'd be looking at just spending the day at the beach club. The day we were there in Feb (around same time as you, just on the Celebration) the water was insanely choppy. The port area looks pretty cool, but I'm just not a fan of being a captive audience with a pool and $15 drinks when I can go be by the ocean somewhere. Maya Chan ocean wasn't great, but that's Costa Maya. The little all inclusive they had there totally made up for it and then some. If you guys get back that way, highly recommend. It's like a small, mom and pop version of Mr. Sanchos, but super chill. Fantastic food, too. I keep adding on, sorry for the long post! I end up loyal to Carnival simply because I can't justify turning down the casino deals I get to try another line. I generally get free balcony cabins with cheers included. Lost my mind on one particular cruise, then have mostly behaved on the rest but they still constantly toss me deals and I keep catching. ONE OF THESE DAYS though, I really want to get on a Virgin cruise!

Thanks for sharing this I have always wanted to see these. A new DNA study on the bones found in they Mayan temples showed that the ritual sacrifices we all young boys and they were often related. Might want to google it. Some new info. Again thanks.

Im open to try another cruise line but all 7 of my cruises have been with royal. I just have a such a good time every time that ive been hesitant to try others and worried i wouldnt enjoy it as much. I will try carnival probably sometime next year but i only want to go on the mardi gras, celebration or jubilee.

We were in the same boat! We had only down Royal, and with the diamond status it made it even harder to want to branch out. But we really enjoyed celebration and jubilee on carnival, and we are trying celebrity and Norwegian later this year for a Christmas/ new years cruise! We definitely love Royal, but we are also curious to see what else is out there and if anyone does it better! We will keep you posted! Let us know if you do carnival and let us know what you think!

@@ryanandkala Excursions are well executed. Ship venues accommodate on board activities attendants. Familiarity of the ship regardless of ship size or age. And there medallion technology exceeds others. Customer service is capable to swiftly handle any and all issues. We feel that we're more aligned with the Princess demographic. Most important their inclusive packages offer better savings than other cruise lines.

First cruise Royal, next 5 Princess . Taking World Cruise 2025 with MSC. MSC matches Princess’ loyalty level, not why Im trying them but the price was stupendous!! Plan on trying Virgin in 2026 with adult children. Princess is feeling a little stale lately. Never considered Carnival before but looks good.

Hey y’all great video. Just curious do you have to ask anyone to fly the drone or do you just fly it on your own without asking around

Usually we check if there’s any signs, if not we try and lift it off where there’s not a lot of people. If there’s any security or police or anything around we usually just ask to be safe. Ryan applies for permits to fly his drone so usually we know if it’s allowed or not. We never went to chance it and lose it though!

No problem! Drones are harder and harder to use these days. Our best advice is to apply for the drone permits it will tell you if there’s any helicopters or planes around or how high you can fly etc. and when in doubt just either hide so no one sees you flying it or ask haha!

We are slowly becoming loyal too royal after doing Norwegian and Royal cruises. We love all the entertainment options on Royal. Our priorities on a cruise are good food, and good entertainment and Royal seems too fill the bill. I am intrigued about trying an excel class ship. A little concerned about video's showing long lines too the food places including your videos.

Our parents both really enjoy Norwegian as well! We are trying our first one this December! Longer lines are definitely unavoidable on the bigger ships just because of the sheer amount of people. But it’s worth giving it a try! Celebration was an amazing ship for carnival and we didn’t notice the lines were as long, likely because jubilee was a brand Beltran’s new ship, so it was fully booked!

So we have been on 6 cruises and they have all been with Carnival and all different ships. From the low end ships to the brand new ships so we kind of grown with Carnival. I noticed you guys were the other way around. I am currently planning to take a Royal cruise with Symphony of the Sea later this year. My question is did you feel weird when you first got on The Celebration being that was your first time not on Royal Ship and how long did the adjustment period take. I also won't ask who's better because i'm sure they all provide a fun time and it's all about experiences but I will ask, Do you enjoy the differences in the two?

It did take a minute for us to get our bearings being on a new ship! But honestly it was so exciting. Getting to experience something new was so cool! Each of them have their ways that they are better than the other and we plan to do a video on that! But once you figure out the small nuances cruising is pretty similar across the board ☺️

We plan on doing a comparison video comparing utopia of the seas to jubilee so they’re both their newest ships. But honestly we had an absolute blast on both the celebration and jubilee. We have another carnival planned for 2025 as well. We really enjoy their lower prices, cheaper beverage package and better drinks! They are definitely giving Royal a run for their money! You would not be making a mistake, that’s for sure. But I’d suggest choosing one of the newer ships!

This is advice we received from other carnival cruisers. They said they enjoyed the newer and bigger ships more than the smaller ones. There are others that said they prefer the smaller ships but the majority of people have said they like the bigger ones It depends what you want from the trip. If you want on board activities I suggest the bigger ships. If you want better destinations and less lineups, maybe a smaller ship is the way to go. ☺️

Re: Deal or no deal...we've resolved to never pay for it again. Its fun to watch, but we've lost way more than we've won. I think we did win $25 casino fun play last time, but that didn't pay back what we spent on the cards.
