Shogo, your English is spot on. You must have lived longer than six years in the USA for it to be that good. Your daughter is very fortunate to have parents who are trilingual as well. Thanks for the New Year's visit to the shine!

Arigato gozaimasu! Honto arigato! Wonderful to watch your family's outing to the shrine for Oshogatsu. And to see the ume trees too: Dogen wrote about the plum trees and blossoms with the passage of the New Year and the approach of Spring. What a perfect way to observe the New Year. Hopefully next time you visit the virus will be a mere memory and we can also experience all the great food on offer. And Hinata is too cute! Hontoni kawaii! And also been observing your steady subscriber growth--10K is rapidly approaching. Great job! And another great vlog. All my best and the Happiest New Year to you and all your loved ones. Mahalo! 🤙🎍🎋

I really love Kitano Temmangu Shrine, I go there every time I visit Kyoto. It is very beautiful and calm there, even in the highest season it does not have such a huge number of people as in other popular places. The story of the life and death of Sugawara no Michizane is very beautiful and fascinating.

Shogo, I'm so happy I've stumbled across your youtube channel! I'm one of those 60.000 tourists ^^ and had the honour of visiting you in September 2019 for a tea ceremony. I've been missing Japan ever since my trip there, so finding your channel (and a familiar face) made my day. I wish you and your family all the best for 2021!

Happy new year! I recently found your channel and I love it! I lived in Kyoto for 3 months, doing some research at Kyoto University. I really want to visit again soon after Corona is finished! Would love to learn more about tea ceremony and samurai culture :)
明けましておめでとう! Cool shrine! I haven’t visited one yet this year, because...pandemic. I live near Ise, so I (fairly often) visit the JINGU. But not this year...I’ll probably visit a smaller local shrine sometime over the next week. Take care! 🍻

Hachiman was an emperor before geting enshrined and other nobles to they are alot of other people at least emperors who got enshrined before michizane though I am a believer in shinto or kami no michi the basic point is that people got enshrined since ancient days they use to believe that mountain gods were past ansteters and they would enshrine them in in shrines but thank you for sharing your visit may the kami sama be with you happy new year

I'm a little late but Happy new year to you and your beautiful family!!! I'm planning to go to Japan this summer, so this video is very useful especially when it comes to the C19 topic! Kyoto is one of my destination (of course 😏) so I wanna ask, what are you recommending me to visit? Is there any festival at summer time that I have to attend on? Anyway, looking forward to your other videos and thank for your hard work!!!

Hello, and Happy New Year ^^ I found your channel yesterday, and I'm watching as many videos as I can ^^ I loved how you share some of the japanese culture. You deserve many more subscribers. Well, if you could (and if you want to, of course), could you make a video about Shintoism? I am very interested in Shinto, I think it is a beautiful spirituality. Unfortunately, there is not too much literature about that in my country (Brazil). As far as I know, there is only 1 book translated: The Essence of Shinto: Japan's Spiritual Heart, by Motohisa Yamakage (I have read this book, but I'd love to hear more about Shinto). Well, that's it ^^ thank you and I wish much happiness to you and your family. ^^
