Visiting The Shell Museum On Tortola With Lorena Duran

In this episode of Explore with Swim, Lorena Duran takes us to see the one and only Shell Museum on Tortola. Tortola is the largest of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, and the Shell Museum is a must see for anyone visiting the area. Mr. Donovan, also known as "the Shell Man," curates a speculator collection of shells from the island in his museum. He also makes jewelry out of the shells, and runs a restaurant above the shell museum.

Egberth is truly one of a kind. He calls himself shell man on the run. He has a lot of old stories and advice and the most humbling home/restaurant above his shell museum. He cooks homemade local cuisine from what he grows in his backyard, all by himself! This is really rare! Just give him a heads up at his shell shack on the beach and he'll be more then delighted to host just you or a big party. Breakfast and dinner. I'm so thankful for my experiences with this person. Truly a noble and pure soul. If you go to the BVIs you will get the full native, not mainstream, experience with this person. Love you, Egberth!
